Rajalakshmi Engineering College.

Placements: The maximum, average, and least salary packages offered by recruiters are 16.4 Lacs, 5.4 Lacs, and 3.2 Lacs per annum. We have good connectivity with our alumni who were placed in reputable companies, and we are able to learn a lot of skills from placement training.

Infrastructure: In our canteen, the menu is usually decided by taking polls from the students. There is also a complaint box present throughout the campus to raise our queries or complaints directly to the management. We were given library cards for borrowing books from the library.

Faculty: We were asked to buy books separately instead of including them in the tuition fees. Additionally, we were requested to purchase keynotes and materials prepared by staff members. Our lectures often stick to notes and digital materials instead of teaching the concepts practically, and there are no demonstration classes conducted by our lecturers.

Overview of my college experience.

Placements: Almost everyone in my course has been placed except those with arrears. The average package is around 5 LPA. Bosch, Hyundai, and other core industries are the main recruiters for my course. Job roles for my course are mostly embedded System Engineers and Automation Engineers.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for everyone with a 1GB limit, but the connectivity is poor. The library is good enough and accessible from morning to evening. Hostel food and rooms are average, and non vegetarian food is not provided on the college campus. Labs are good, and a medical facility is available.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is fantastic. The curriculum is very good and highly relevant to our course. The difficulty of the semester exams is average, with a pass percentage of 50%. Scoring well in internals is important to get better grades.

I am really proud to be a part of REC. This college improved my future.

Placements: Almost every student gets placed from our college because of the placement training offered by our faculty members. Our college provides training for both quantitative and programming, and staff members from various high ranked institutions teach us. The placement cell ensures that we perform well.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great, and I like to recommend any of my friends to join here. Hostel rooms have all the facilities like Wi-Fi, air-conditioners, medical facilities, food, etc. Washrooms are cleaned often, and the food served is hygiene. Laundry service is also available in the hostel.

Faculty: This course plays a vital role in future, and it teaches basics for robotics and AI. Our course is a combination of both electronics and mechanical. So, we study all the necessary basics, which pave a way to get jobs in the fields like machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, etc.

Other: Our college organises many events, and they make students interact and share their knowledge. The scholarship facility is also provided.

Our college is a good place to gain knowledge.

Placements: About 75% of the students got placed from college. TCS is one of the topmost recruiters of our college. Students above 70% of CGPA got placed in companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was one of the things the management is always working on. Students were satisfied with the infrastructure, lab, sports arena, bus, and canteen. All the places were maintained properly.

Faculty: Staff members in our college are knowledgeable, friendly, and they respect student's feelings. They provide knowledge to the student so that they get a respectable future.

Other: I opted for this course because mechatronics is one of the courses which has high scope in the future. Hands-on sessions must be provided. Events and fests are always a plus point of our institution.

Mechatronics is an awesome department.

Placements: More than 45% of the students from our course got placed. The salary package offered here is 1.5 LPA. Only IT companies recruit students from our department, and core companies didn't recruit students from our department until now. Only 2% of the students do internships. The top role offered in our course is an assistant engineer. Our college is excellent in terms of placement related activities. I will give 100 ratings out of 100 for placement related things.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good compared with other colleges. They provide Wi-Fi facility and drinking water for 24 hours and a stationery shop only in working hours. The quality of the food served is good compared with the previous year, but it is not up to the mark.

Faculty: Teachers here are well knowledgeable in their own field except for some of the junior staff members. Mechatronics has a demand in the future for all industries. They provide industry-related activities apart from studies and give an opportunity to interact with companies.

Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in making a robot.
