Placements: 85% of students are placed in B.Tech CSE 2025. The highest package offered is 18 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 6.5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Accenture. 70% of students got internships at Microsoft, Amazon, and Deloitte. The roles offered are SDE, data analyst, DevOps engineer, and cloud associate.
Infrastructure: The department has Wi-Fi, modern labs, smart classrooms, and library access. The hostel offers clean rooms, decent mess food, a canteen, medical aid, and 24x7 security. Sports grounds, indoor games, and a gym are available for all-around development. You will be super in this college.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant and industry-oriented. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, with regular study, most students pass. The pass percentage is around 90-95% in the course.
Other: I chose B.Tech CSE for tech passion and career scope. The best things are coding skills, projects, and placements. The college needs more industry tie-ups. Lively fests, diverse crowd, good transport, green campus, scholarships, active clubs, and sports make campus life vibrant.

Basically, placements are good in our college. I prefer students join this college for sure.
Placements: More than 80% of students get placed in our college. The highest package offered in my course is 32 LPA. More companies offer jobs to students with a good CGPA. For students with a good CGPA, placements are so good. I recommend my college to all students.
Infrastructure: Our college facilities and infrastructure are very good. The hostel accommodation could be improved. They are cleaned daily. The food options in the hostel are repetitive and not enjoyable. It is very good.
Faculty: All faculty members are dedicated and will complete the syllabus on time, with continuous assignments provided to students. Semester exams are straightforward, consisting mostly of direct questions. They will also provide important questions.
Other: Once a year, the college organises a fest named Recharge. It lasts for about three days, and we can enjoy it a lot during it. Many famous stars will come to the college to perform concerts.

Supportive faculty & solid placements, but AIML needs more practical exposure.
Placements: Around 80 to 85% of AIML students secured jobs. Highest CTC offered is 10 LPA. Lowest CTC offered is 2.5 LPA. Average CTC offered is 4.5 LPA. AIML programme at REC is performing solidly, with 80 to 85% placement, and respectable internship and recruiter attraction. While core CSE or other branches may yield higher top-end offers (above 30 LPA), AIML students are getting strong exposure and roles aligned with software, analytics, and AI domains.
Infrastructure: In my AIML department at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, we have well-maintained labs for AI, ML, Python, and IoT. The systems are updated and connected with high-speed Wi-Fi. Classrooms are smart-enabled with projectors and digital boards, which makes learning more interactive. Library is a great resource too. It has plenty of technical books and online access to journals like IEEE, Springer, and NPTEL content.
Faculty: Students report that AIML faculty are helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, and employ both traditional lectures and practical sessions using modern tools. Overall teaching quality is considered good to very good, though a few mention the need for self-learning to gain deeper industry-level skills, as AIML/AI. This curriculum is regularly updated to match industry standards, combining strong theory with practical tools like Python, ML, and AI frameworks.
Other: I chose this forward-looking specialization because of a passion for AI & ML, influenced by family/friend advice and career trends. Shared core curriculum with CSE, offering flexibility.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure and the playground.
Placements: There are 180 students in our department, but 30-40 members have not been placed. The highest package provided by the company is by Zoho, where a girl is placed for Rs. 2,700,000 per annum, and the lowest package is Rs. 3,00,000 per annum. The placement can only be attended by the non-arrear students.
Infrastructure: The new hostel, the food, and the infrastructure are good, but the old hostel is not up to the level of average. Our course is very good and it makes our future bright, so that we can make our career in the best way. Many other students can easily crack the interview with their help.
Faculty: All teachers are skillful enough that they can repeat lessons if the students cannot understand. They are all calm and collected, so their teaching is very easy to understand and can be learned quickly. They are also skillful in teaching during our lab sessions.

Placements: Over the 2023-24 placement season, 305 companies visited the campus, and more than 1,570 job offers were made (as of September 2024). In the previous 2022 cycle, REC saw 322 recruiters and more than 2,058 offers. The highest package in 2022 reached 31.31? LPA, a significant leap from 12 LPA in 2021. The median/average packages for B.Tech students this year hovered around 4.5 LPA to 4.7 LPA, with PG students averaging 4.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college provides 24X7 internet lab, free Wi-Fi across campus and hostels, 1.155 Gbps dedicated leased line, and more than 2000 PCs/laptops with fibre-optic backbone. It has lecture-capturing system, interactive panel, LCD projectors, and smartboards in all seminar halls and classrooms. It has 244 total labs, including 113 computer labs, plus specialized research and center of excellence facilities.
Faculty: Our college has eminent professors like Dr. G. Thanigaiyarasu (dean, mechanical) 34 years of experience, Ph.D. (France), guided 9 PhDs, expert in fatigue/fracture mechanics. Dr. L. Sujatha (ECE) 30 years of experience, established center of excellence in MEMS and Microfluidics with a cleanroom, 7.5 crores in sponsored projects, award-winning researcher. Dr. V. Murali Bhaskaran (CSE), 25 years of academic/research experience, Ph.D. guided 19 PhDs, specializes in architecture, network, and information security.
