Scottish Church College offers admission to all courses on the basis of the merit acquired in the entrance exam (Calcutta University Entrance Exam), along with other course-specific eligibility criteria. For both UG and PG courses, candidates need to appear for the Calcutta University Entrance Exam, to secure admission to the college. The cutoff marks of IISER 2023 is the minimum marks/ranks that a candidate is required to obtain in order to get admission in any of the 7 participating institutes of the exam. The authorities release separate IISER 2023 cutoff for all the candidates applying through different channels for the admission. Candidates who score equal to or above the IISER cutoff 2023 will be eligible to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process.

No, admission to MAKAUT is based on entrance exams for courses such as BTech. Candidates wanting to get admission to MAKAUT for BTech must qualify West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) exam and WBJEE Counselling. Those willing to get admission in the second year must appear for JELET (for Lateral Entry). MAKAUT also accepts JEE Main exam for BTech admission.
