The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) is conducting the SEED 2023 entrance exam on January 15, 2023. The one-hour-long exam is conducted in a home-proctored mode in different time slots between 11 am and 4 pm. The exam analysis for the SEED 2023 will be updated on this page soon after the completion of the exam, and include details like the sectional and overall difficulty, types of questions asked, expected cut-off, etc.
The results of the Online Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) will be announced on January 23, 2023. The results of the exam will be used to shortlist candidates for the next round of the SID admission process for the current academic session.

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) - Admission Process
Admission to the B.Des course offered by the Symbiosis Institute of Design is conducted in the following process.
- Step 1 - The candidate first appears in the Online Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) exam. Candidates who qualify SEED will be eligible to appear for SID’s Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI). Shortlisting for admission will be based only by the specialization selected during online registration.
- Step 2 - Upload the Portfolio on the SID admission portal; it should be uploaded a day prior to the PRPI.
- Step 3 - The candidate has to next perform the PRPI Task and pload it on the portal a day prior to the PRPI.
- Step 4 - Appear in the online Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) round.

SEED 2026 written exam will be 60 minutes. The question paper will include 60 questions. Question paper will have MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension-based questions.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) does not have any provisions for direct admission to the second year. So, candidates have to compulsory take admission in the first year of the B.Des program. Note that admission to the B.Des is only through the SEED 2026 exam.

Yes, a portfolio is required to get admission to SEED B.Des and M.Des programmes. You are required to present a digital portfolio that should contain all of your best work. Portfolio should be in the form of a PDF.
