Symbiosis Institute of Design will release the first merit list for M.Des on May 15, 2025, on the official website. The merit list is prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in the written exam, PRPI, and Portfolio Review.
The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) is all set to release the SEED 2025 First Merit List of the M.Des programme 2025 on May 15, 2025. The Merit List will be for the students who have successfully cleared the SEED Entrance Examination, Studio Test, and Personal Interaction. The merit list has been published on the official admission portal of SID - sid.edu.in. Candidates can check the Merit List/ Result by logging in using their credentials.
The Final Selection is based on the performance in the SEED Entrance exam, Portfolio Review, PRPI Task, and Personal Interaction. It will also depend on the information that was provided in the application form. The new batch is likely to commence from July 01, 2025.
The B.Des First Merit List was released by SID on April 21, 2025. It was also released for the candidates who have cleared the SEED Written Examination 2025 and Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI). The candidates who were selected in the First Merit List were asked to submit the fee and register for the B.Des programme by May 02, 2025.
Latest Update:
The B.Des 2025 Exam was conducted on January 12, 2025, followed by Portfolio Update on March 27, 2025. The PRPI Interaction Phase 1 was from March 28, 2025 to March 30, 2025, and PRPI Phase 2, started on April 11, 2025 till April 13, 2025.
The M.Des 2025 Exam was conducted on May 04, 2025 and the Studio Test and Personal Interaction was from May 09, 2025 to May 11, 2025.

Yes, there is a possibility that one can be asked to. The candidate must have basic stationery including pen, paper, and pencils available during their PI session. The personal interaction round of SEED 2025 will be conducted online. Candidates who are shortlisted for personal interaction will have to book their slots within the given window. Note that slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The final merit list of SID will be prepared based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task and Personal Interaction.
Candidates who have prepared a handmade portfolio will have to click pictures of best work, compile it in and upload PDF. Showcasing the handmade portfolio during PI round is not allowed. It is compulsory to upload the work before the allocated slot for interaction. Also, the size of the digital portfolio must not be more than 5 MB. Also, the portfolio must be in the form of a PowerPoint Presentation of a maximum of 15 slides.

SEED 2025 Results
The SEED 2025 Results/ Merit List will be released on the official website. The First Merit List is all set to release on May 15, 2025, for the M.Des Programme. For the B.Des Programme, the First Merit List was declared on April 21, 2025. The Merit list is declared after considering the SEED Written Examination, Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction. Candidates must complete all the steps of the SEED 2025 admission process.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) does not have any provisions for direct admission to the second year. So, candidates have to compulsory take admission in the first year of the B.Des program. Note that admission to the B.Des is only through the SEED 2026 exam.
