AP EAMCET 2020
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada released the AP EAMCET 2020 application form online on February 29. Aspirants are advised to check the eligibility criteria for the exam before filling the application form. The last date to fill and submit the application form of AP EAMCET 2020 was September 5 (with late fee). Eligible candidates for the AP EAMCET 2020 exam can now download their admit card from September 10.
All Candidates have to qualify the computer-based AP EAMCET to get admission into various programmes in affiliated/participating colleges. The result of AP EAMCET 2020 will be released in the form of ranks and scores obtained by the students in the entrance exam. The university will shortlist the candidates based on results/scores and cutoffs to participate in the AP EAMCET counselling process. In this article, we have provided complete details related to AP EAMCET 2020.
JNTU will conduct AP EAMCET 2020 from September 17-25 . The university conducts the state-level entrance exam on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission to undergraduate Engineering, Agriculture and Medical programmes.

AP EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2020

Aspirants must fulfil all the eligibility conditions before final seat allotment in AP EAMCET 2020 failing so may lead to cancellation of seats allotted to them. The table given below can be referred to know about AP EAMCET eligibility criteria 2020.

Nationality

Candidates must be Indian Nationals or Persons of India Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

Domicile

Candidates must be a domicile of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.

Age Limit

Candidates must have completed 16 years of age as on December 31, 2020. There is no upper age limit.

 

Candidates applying for BTech (Dairy Technology), BTech (Agriculture Engineering), BTech (FS & T) should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2020. The upper age limit for BTech aspirants is 22 years. SC/ST candidates have been given a relaxation of three years and the upper age limit for them is 25 years.

Academic Qualification

Candidate must have passed or appearing (In 2020 only) for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or Telangana or equivalent. They must have subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology,

 

Candidates must have passed or appearing (In 2020 only) in the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or equivalent.

Step-1: Payment of Fee: Candidates must note that for AP EAMCET 2020, the first step will be the payment of application fee. Candidates will be allowed to pay the registration/application fee online or through AP & TS online centres. Candidates can follow the steps given below to pay the AP EAMCET application fee:

Online Payment

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on “Fee Payment” tab
  • Enter the details: Qualifying Examination Hall Ticket Number, Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, E-Mail ID, and Stream.
  • After entering the details, click on “Initiate Payment”
  • Select payment type: Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking
  • Fill all the details for the payment type selected pay the fee
  • Payment confirmation page comprising payment id will be displayed on the screen

Payment through AP/TS Online Centres

Candidates will also be allowed to pay the fee through any of the designated AP/TS online centres. For this, candidates will need to follow the below steps:

  • Choose and visit nearest AP/TS online centre with the following mandatory details ready
  • Hall Ticket number of the qualifying examination
  • Name of the Candidate (as per SSC)
  • Father’s Name (as per SSC)
  • Date of Birth (as per SSC)
  • Mobile number and alternate mobile number
  • Stream applying for Engineering (E) or Agriculture and allied (A) or both E & A
  • Pay the prescribed amount in cash and collect receipt containing a Payment Reference ID (Transaction Id) for the online registration to AP EAMCET 2020.

Candidates who wish to apply for both Engineering, Agricultural, and Medical field will be required to pay Rs 1000 as application fee along with a processing fee of Rs 59.

Step-2: Know the Status of Fee Payment: After payment of fee, candidates will be able to check the status of their fee payment. Only after this, they will be able to fill the APEAMCET 2020 application form.

Step-3: Filling of Application Form: In this step, candidates will need to enter all the mandatory details of the application form such as personal, communication, and educational information along with uploading documents and selecting test centres for the entrance exam. After entering all the details, candidates will need to submit the application form and note the application number displayed on the screen.

AP EAMCET Admit Card/Hall Ticket 2020

AP EAMCET 2020 admit card/hall ticket will be released by the authorities from April 6 onwards. Candidates will be required to login to the official website using their credentials to download the hall ticket. Candidates can refer to the steps given below to download the admit card of AP EAMCET 2020.

AP EAMCET Syllabus 2020

Candidates must have a thorough understanding of the AP EAMCET 2020 syllabus to prepare an effective preparation strategy for the exam. The syllabus will help the candidates to study the relevant topics and practice questions related to it only. The syllabus will also help candidates to divide their preparation time in a way so that no topic left behind and they also have time to revise and attempt the mock tests.

AP EAMCET Answer Key 2020

The provisional answer key of AP EAMCET 2020 will be published on April 24 and April 25. Candidates who appear in the exam, can match their correct and incorrect responses and calculate their probable scores of the exam. AP EAMCET 2020 answer keys will also help candidates to analyse their performance in the exam by knowing the correct and incorrect responses. In case, candidates who are not satisfied with the responses mentioned in the AP EAMCET 2020 official answer keys they can raise objections. To raise objections against AP EAMCET 2020 answer key, candidates have to send an email including all the details in the prescribed format to the officials. The authority will release the final AP EAMCET answer key before the declaration of the results.

AP EAMCET Result 2020

AP EAMCET 2020 result will be declared by the authorities tentatively on May 5. Candidates will be able to check their AP EAMCET result 2020 by logging in to the result/official portal. The result/scorecard will comprise qualifying status, marks secured by the candidates and ranks of the candidates. Candidates must score 25% of the maximum marks to be qualified for getting ranked in the AP EAMCET 2020. The below steps can be referred by the candidates to check the result of AP EAMCET 2020.

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on the Result link
  • Enter Registration Number and AP EAMCET hall ticket number
  • Click on “View Result”
  • AP EAMCET result will be displayed on the screen
  • Download the result and take a print out

Tie-Breaking Rule

In case, two or more candidates score the same marks in AP EAMCET 2020, the merit ranks will be determined by following the given rules.

  • Candidate with higher total marks in AP EAMCET 2020 will be given a higher rank.
  • If a tie persists, the candidate with higher marks in the Mathematics section of the exam will be given higher rank.
  • If a tie persists, the candidate with higher marks in the Physics section of the exam will be given higher rank.
  • If a tie persists, the candidate with higher percentage of aggregate marks in the qualifying exam will be given higher rank.
  • If a tie persists, candidate older in age will be given higher rank.

AP EAMCET Cut off 2020

The conducting authority will release the AP EAMCET cut off after the declaration of the result. The cut off is expected to be released in July. Candidates who have qualified the entrance test will be called for further seat allotment and counselling process on the basis of the cutoff marks and availability of seats for a particular institute/course. The qualifying percentage of marks for AP EAMCET 2020 is 25% of the maximum marks for General category candidates. There is no qualifying marks for ST/SC category candidates.

AP EAMCET Counselling and Seat Allotment 2020

 Candidates will be called for counselling based on their ranks in the merit list. The web-based counselling of AP EAMCET 2020 will be conducted tentatively in the last week of June. AP EAMCET 2020 counselling will include the following steps:

Payment of Fee: As a first step, candidates will need to pay the counselling fee in online mode. The counselling fee for General/OBC candidates will be Rs 1000 and that for SC/ST candidates will be Rs 600.

Document Verification: The verification of documents will be conducted online. However, after online verification, candidates also have to visit the helpline centres set up by the exam conducting bodies for document verification.

Choice Locking: It will be conducted by the authority only after document verification. Candidates must lock maximum choices of institute and courses available as per their ranks for better chances of admission.

Reporting at the Allotted Institute: After choice locking, the authorities will release the seat allotment result. Candidates must report to the allotted institute on the scheduled date to pay the fees and complete other admission formalities.
