The GATE 2025 application form window will close TODAY (October 3, 2024). Candidates who want to apply for the GATE exam must visit the GOAPS portal and submit their application form to avoid late fees. Read below to learn more about the GATE registrations 2025.
IIT Roorkee will close the GATE application form with regular fees on October 3, 2024, at 11:59 pm. However, candidates can still submit their application forms for GATE 2025 till October 7, 2024. The mode of the GATE registrations is online and can be done through the GOAPS portal - gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on the scheduled dates - Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
Before candidate start to fill GATE application form, they must check their eligibility, which is as follows -
- Must have graduated from a recognised university or institute
- Third and final year graduate students can also apply for GATE 2025
- International students meeting GATE eligibility can also apply
Note: GATE has no age or attempt limit. However, nationality of the candidate must be Indian. Foreign nationals who meet required eligibility criteria can also apply for GATE exam.
GATE 2025 Application Form Process
Registrations for GATE 2025 can be done at GOAPS portal. Process to apply can be checked below-
- Visit the official website of GATE 2025 and click on application link
- Register to get enrollment ID and create candidate login
- Login and fill details correctly
- Upload photo, signature, and valid ID proof
- Pay GATE registration fees and submit
Candidates can also check their GATE 2025 application status by providing their enrollment ID and password at GOAPS portal. In case, you haven't completed registration, you can still submit by October 7, 2024 with late fee.
GATE 2025 Application Fees
The GATE application fee payment can be made online through netbanking/credit card/debit card/UPI. Payments through an international visa or master card are also accepted. The GATE 2025 application fees (category-wise) are as follows -
- For female/SC/ST/PwD candidates, the GATE fee is INR 900 (during the regular period) and INR 1400 (during the extended period)
- For other candidates, including foreign nationals, the GATE fee is INR 1800 (during the regular period) and INR 2300 (during the extended period).
GATE is a national-level entrance exam solely for graduates who want to pursue M.Tech or doctoral programs in top institutions, such as IITs, IIITs, IISc, and GFTIs. Not only that, qualifying GATE also allows candidates to apply for PSU jobs.
