KCET Application Fee 2026: The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 closed accepting the KCET 2026 registrations on Feb 27, 2026. To successfully submit the KCET UGCET 2026 application form students had to pay the application fee till March 7, 2026, earlier the last date to pay the fee was March 3.

As mentioned on the official website - cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea, the KCET application fee varies based on candidate's category and residency status. General and OBC applicants (including GM, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) are required to pay INR 500, while a reduced fee of INR 250 applies to SC, ST, and Category-1 candidates from Karnataka and female candidates residing in Karnataka. Students from outside Karnataka will have to pay INR 750, while foreign or international candidates must pay INR 5,000. This application fee is non-refundable even if the candidate does not appear in the exam. This amount can be paid in online mode via credit card/debit card/net banking. The last date to apply for NERIST NEE was March 31, 2026. The application process started on January 9, 2026. The registrations are over.

How to Apply for KCET 2026

The KCET 2026 application form filling process is completely online. To apply for the Karnataka CET entrance exam, students must follow the steps mentioned below - 

  1. Visit KEA Official Website and click on the "New User" link. 
  2. Enter personal details - name, DOB, mobile number, and email to generate User ID and password.
  3. Log in with new login credentials and fill educational, and communication details.
  4. Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression (size: 5 KB to 40 KB in JPG/JPEG format).
  5. Pay KCET application fee online via net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
  6. Review all details before finally submitting the KCET application form 2026
  7. Download the confirmation page for future reference

Yes, Indian nationals can fill the KCET application form. Candidates from Maharashtra can fill the KCET 2026 application form at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Applicants need to fill their state domicile information at the time of filling out the KCET application form

Q:   What are the items required to be carried along KCET admit card at the exam centre?
A: 

Applicants appearing in the exam will have to carry their KCET hall ticket along with one valid photo ID proof. Candidates are also allowed to carry their personal pen/pencil and face mask inside the exam centre. Applicants are advised not to carry any item restricted inside the exam centre. Without valid KCET admit card, applicants will not be allowed to appear in the exam. A list of valid photo ID proofs applicable for KCET exam are given below.

KCET 2026 Fee Waiver & Exemptions

There is no full waiver of application fee for any category; however, SC, ST, Category-1, and female candidates from Karnataka get 50% reduction. They can pay INR 250 instead of ₹500. 

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and Category-1 may claim exemption from tuition fees during the admission process. However, for the same they will have to show annual family income below INR 8.00 Lakhs (for 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B). There might be other fee waiver or scholarships for reserved category candidates which will be either mentioned in the notification PDF or as per specific government orders for other categories.

KCET 2026 Late Fee and Deadlines

KEA does not accept late applications or payments after the specified deadline. Once the portal closes, no additional window will be opened with a late fee. Hence the original schedule is the only time when students can apply for the exam. During the correction facility, students will be able to make edits into certain fields such as name, category, and academic details.

The KCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for admission into undergraduate (UG) courses - Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, and Veterinary Sciences. Students shortlisted as per the KCET results, will be able to take admission in participating colleges in Karnataka.

KCET is only for Karnataka domicile students — so students from other states cannot apply for KCET unless they have studied in Karnataka for a minimum number of years (usually Classes 6–10 or 11–12 in a Karnataka school).

Amity University, Bangalore has not mentioned KCET as a mandatory entrance exam for BBA at Amity University, Bangalore. However, most UG level admissions at the institute are decided through its scores. Thus, candidates are advised to ask this question from someone in the admission desk.
