MET 2026 exam pattern will be released online soon at manipal.edu. Candidates will be able to access the details on how the examination will be conducted through the MET exam pattern 2026. Some of the important information that can be checked through the MET exam pattern is the examination mode, duration, type of questions, total number of questions, marking scheme, etc. It is advantageous for the candidates to be familiar with the exam pattern so that they are able to prepare accordingly. As per the exam pattern of MET 2026, the authorities will conduct the examination as a computer-based test. A total of 60 questions have to be attempted within the total exam duration. Q:   Will MET be held as an online test?
A: 

Yes, MET will be conducted as an online test. The students will have to report to the exam centres, where the exam has to be attempted on the available systems. The exam will not be held in any other mode.

Q:   What is the duration of the MET exam?
A: 

Students will be given two hours to complete the MET exam. During the allotted time, the students will have to attempt 60 questions in the exam. No extra time will be given to the students to complete the entrance examination.

Q:   Is MET conducted in regional languages?
A: 

No, MET is not conducted in any regional language. All of the questions in the paper will be in English along with the options. Students should be prepared to attempt the exam in English language. In case of any issues, the students can ask the invigilators at the exam centre for guidance.

Q:   Is there negative marking in MET?

For the multiple-choice questions in the MET paper, one mark will be deducted for wrong answers. However, there is no negative marking for numerical answer type questions. Students should be careful while attempting the multiple-choice questions. The marking scheme should be checked before the exam.

Q:   What type of questions will be present in the MET pattern?
A: 

MET question paper will consist of two types of questions – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type Questions (NATs). For the MCQs, the students will have to choose the correct option from the available options. The NATs will have numerical based answer.

Yes, the round wise MET cutoff will be released online. The cutoff will be different for every course, category and college. Students will be able to access the cutoff after each round of seat allotment. MET cutoff can be used to check for chances of admission

No, the authorities will not accept digital copies of the MET admit card at the exam centre. All students will have to bring a print out of their hall ticket for verification. If the students do not have the physical copy of their admit card, they will not be allowed to attempt the exam.
