NIT Calicut has shared a list of the recruiters who participated during the recent placement drive. The list of top recruiters during NIT Calicut placements 2024 is presented below:

NIT Calicut has released the placement report for 2025. The overall percentage recorded in 2025 was 72.98%.  A total of 1329 students participated in the NIT Calicut placement drive, and 970 were offered jobs. The key highlights of NIT Calicut placements 2025 as compared with 2024 and 2023 are presented below:

National Institute of Technology, Calicut, also known as NIT Calicut, is one of the oldest NITs in India and has been ranked 2 under the 'Architecture and Planning' category and 21 under the 'Engineering' category by NIRF 2025. The college offers a wide range of programmes to students, mainly in the Engineering and Technology fields. Further, the college has a decent connection with top-notch companies such as Accenture, ADP, Amazon, Amdocs, Baja Auto, American Express, etc. 

Candidates with a BSc or equivalent UG degree with at least 60% aggregate or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% aggregate or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC/ST/PWD category) are eligible to apply for an MSc course of NIT Calicut. The aspirants must hold the UG mark sheets and pass certificates as proof of eligibility. The institute admits candidates only after document verification.

NIT Calicut MBA admissions 2024 are open for eligible candidates. Currently, the institute is accepting applications for MBA admissions. The application window opened on Jan 20, 2024. All the CAT qualifiers can apply online on the official website of NIT Calicut before Mar 31. After the closing of the application portal, the university will further release the list of the shortlisted candidates for GD-PI rounds on Apr, 15.

NIT Calicut has a seat intake of 75 for the full-time MSc course offered in three specialisations. The institute reserves 25 seats for each specialisation. In addition, the institute reserves 5% seats for PwD category candidates followed by norms of the Government of India.

Yes, the technology institute offers MSc in Physics as a full-time course. Admission to the course is through IIT JAM followed by CCMN counselling. The seat intake for the course is 25. In addition, the total tuition fee is INR 30,000. However, the mentioned fee and seat intake is as per unofficial sources and thus may vary.

Class 12 in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects is the basic eligibility for BArch at NIT Calicut. NIT Calicut provides various safety and security measures for the students. For managing hostel facilities, two wardens, a caretaker, an office assistant and resident tutors are available in the hostel on all working days. Anti-ragging measures are strictly followed. The students must adhere to the disciplinary code, which applies to all activities/events on the campus. The security personnel ensures the safety of the residents 24/7. Some students review the campus as peaceful with a lush green environment, while others have noted the presence of street dogs on campus. 

NIT Calicut JEE Main cutoff 2025 for the first round varied between 4678 and 28830 for admission to the BTech course across multiple specialisations for the General AI category. The one with the lowest cutoff rank of 4678 was Computer Science and Engineering. National Institute of Technology Calicut and Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur are the two prominent colleges for BTech CSE admissions. Both colleges accept JEE Main scores for admission to the BTech and BTech Integrated courses. NIT Calicut cutoff for Round 5 for the CSE specialisation stood at 4742 and 4482 for 2023 and 2024, respectively. Similarly, NIT Nagpur cutoff for Round 5 stood at 6433 and 5795 for 2023 and 2024, respectively. As per the cutoff information available, it can be observed that NIT Calicut is comparatively more demanding among the candidates.

NIT Rourkela offers MBA course in a full-time mode. The course is taught by the Department of Management at the institute. The total seat intake for MBA is 75. There is seat reservation available for MBA at NIT Calicut. As per the selection criteria for this course, the seats are filled based on a valid CAT score. Further, candidates can also pursue MBA (industry-sponsored) course. There are total five seats available for this course. 

For admission to the PhD course, NIT Calicut accepts the scores of entrance exams like GATE/CSIR NET/UGC NET/ JEST/NBHM/KSCSTE and the Written Test conducted by the institute. Candidates are shortlisted based on merit in these entrance exams and are further called for an interview round.

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme is under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India for admission to Undergraduate programmes in Engineering/Architecture/ Planning for the Academic offered by the National Institute of Technology Calicut. Candidates with a BSc or BCA degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics or BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate is the basic eligibility for MCA at NIT Calicut. In addition to this, NIMCET scores are required for MCA admission. In addition, the aspirants must also meet the eligibility requirements.

NIT Calicut has a rich faculty community with technical and scientific expertise. The faculty members consist of PhD holders involved completely in teaching and research. Currently, at NIT Calicut, there are 312 faculty members, spread over the cadres of Professor (HAG), Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor.
