AILET Counselling 2026: National Law University Delhi conducts counselling for AILET online. Candidates must note that after each round of AILET 2026 counselling, merit lists are released. They can visit official website nationallawuniversitydelhi.in to download AILET merit list 2026. They can check AILET rank list released for this year on this page.
To get seats for admission in BA LLB and LLM programs, they have to pay admission confirmation fee before last date of each round. How to Register for AILET Counselling 2026?
Follow the process to register online for AILET 2026 counseling-
- Log on to the NLU Delhi website and check if you have been invited for counseling.
- If you are invited for counseling, then you need to complete the process.
- Upload all the prescribed documents.
- Pay the counseling fee.
The counseling fee has to be paid online using Digital Payment methods like Credit/ Debit cards, Net-banking, UPI, etc. only.

AILET 2026 Counselling Eligibility
The candidates whose names appear in the AILET 2026 merit list will have to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria during the AILET counselling. Even though NLU Delhi is a National Law University but it is not a part of the Consortium of NLUs. All the NLUs in India have been granted the status by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Thus, there is no major difference in the courses offered at NLU Delhi as compared to the other National Law Universities. However, the NLU Delhi offers admission to is BA LLB and LLM program through the AILET entrance exam.
The AILET 2026 counselling registrations were started on December 19, 2025, and closed on December 27, 2025. During the counselling process, the candidates register online and perform document verification.

No, AILET Entrance Exam cutoff is released separately for the various categories. For instance, the cut-off is available for categories like Open, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PH categories. Note that open category candidates will not be considered for admission under reserved category seats. However, candidates belonging to reserved category will be considered for admission under both open and the reserved category they belong to. To be considered for admission under reserved category, the candidate must furnish the required category certificates. However, any candidate who is found using counterfeit documents can be disqualified at any stage of the admission process.
AILET counselling begins from December 19 to December 27. NLU Delhi releases a separate notification for counselling registration, and on the basis of the rank and scores, merit lists are released.

The AILET counselling fee of INR 30,000 (INR for reserved category candidates) will be refunded only to candidates who have successfully registered for the counselling and paid the fee but who could not find a place in the merit list. The refund will be initiated by NLU Delhi to the source on completion of the admission process, whichever is earlier.
