AILET Centres 2027: National Law University (NLU) Delhi releases list of AILET 2027 exam centres along with official notification. AILET exam is expected to be held in second week of December 2026 in offline (pen-and-paper) mode at around 37 centres across India. While filling out application form, candidates have to choose up to three preferred AILET 2027 exam cities in order of preference.

Final allotment of AILET 2027 centre will depend on candidate's preferences and availability of seats at each location. If exam centre receives very few applications and is cancelled by NLU Delhi, candidates may be allotted one of their alternate choices. Candidates will get details about exam centre on their AILET admit card 2027

In last session, university also updated list of AILET test cities from previous year, as exam was not conducted in four cities Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Kota, Shimla and Siliguri AILET is conducted for admission to NLU Delhi's BA LLB and LLM programmes.

NLU Delhi releases updated list of test centres for AILET along with admission notification. Candidates can check list of exam cities available for upcoming exam

In case number of candidates at any test city is less than 100, exam centre will not be created in that city. They will be allotted a test city as per their 2nd/3rd preferences.

Q:   How will I know about the AILET exam centre allotted to me?
A: 

AILET exam centre 2027 will be allotted along with the admit card. Candidates are advised to check the admit card to know about the exam centre and other crucial details. Apart from name and address of allotted AILET exam centre, the admit card comprises details such as exam date, timing, exam day guidelines etc. Date for admit card release is published along with the information brochure on the official website. Candidates have to download the admit card for AILET after logging and providing details such as application ID, password and others. 

Q:   Can I change the AILET Exam centre after release of admit card?
A: 

No, the allotted exam centre cannot be changed at any stage after submission of the application form. Candidates will have to appear at the allotted test centre only. However, any incorrect detail related to the exam centre on the admit card can be reported to NLU Delhi to get it corrected.

Q:   How many city preferences can a candidate submit while selecting AILET center?
A: 

Candidates can submit maximum 3 preferences for AILET centre. Choosing preference for exam centre is mandatory to submit AILET application. Candidates will get to know about allotment of exact centre once the admit card is released. The NLU Delhi releases admit card online comprising crucial details about exam including name and address of AILET centre. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website after its release. To download AILET admit card, candidates need application ID, password, and Exam Unique Code (EUC).

AILET 2027 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates must read AILET exam day instructions mentioned on their admit card. Check important guidelines provided below.

  • Candidates should report to their allotted test centre at least an hour before exam time.
  • They have to carry at least one photo ID proof along with their admit card. Photo ID can be PAN Card, Aadhaar Card or other relevant document.
  • They should also carry their own pens and one HB pencil for filling OMR answer sheet. It has to be ballpoint pen in black or blue colour.
  • Also, avoid taking any study material or calculator, mobile phone, digital watch, iPad and jewellery to exam centre.

Candidates must keep the copy of AILET Admit Card safely until the whole AILET admission process is over. The admit card will be required for the counselling process as part of important documents. They should not tamper it or write anything on it as it will be verified during the counselling process. 

Q:   Can I change the exam centre once the application process gets over for AILET exam?
A: 

No. One cant change the AILET Exam centre once the application form is submitted online. Candidates have to choose options of exam centre while applying for the exam. The exam centre option is filled during the final registration for AILET. Candidates can declare maximum 3 options for exam centre. AILET will let candidates know about name and address of exam centre through the admit card. The admit card for AILET has to be carried to the exam centre else candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Q:   Should the AILET 2027 admit card printout be coloured or black and white?
A: 

Candidates are advised to take a coloured printout of the admit card. However, it is not compulsory. NLU Delhi has not stated any guideline regarding this. They must also ensure that they have two to three spare copies of the admit card for future use. However, in case a candidate does not have access to a coloured printer, she/he can take a black and white printout of the AILET admit card as well, but the details such as photograph and text should be clearly visible.

Q:   What are the details mentioned in AILET admit card?
A: 

The AILET admit card mentioned the examination hall number, the name of the candidate, course name applied for, and general guidelines. Candidates must ensure to have the error free details in the hall ticket. Do not forget to carry an identity proof for verification purpose.

A: 

No, candidates were not allowed to appear for the examination without a valid photo ID. Candidates were advised to keep the following three things ready with them, a day before the examination; a valid photo ID proof, AILET admit card, and a recent passport-sized photograph. These were the mandatory documents to be produced during entry to the AILET exam centre. The valid photo identity card which would be allowed at the AILET 2027 exam centre include Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter Id. The admit card should also have the passport and postcard-sized photographs pasted on it.

Q:   What are the things to carry to AILET exam centre 2027?
A: 

On the day of the exam, candidates must carry the following documents and items to the AILET centre:

  • It is a mandatory document to be carried to the test centre; candidates must carry their admit card as issued to them. Candidates without a valid admit card on the day of the exam will not be allowed to take it.
  • Along with the admit card, candidates must also carry an original photo ID proof issued by the Government of India. Documents that can be presented as ID proof include PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card, and Ration Card. 
  • Candidates should carry an attested passport-size photograph  (the same as uploaded at the time of filling the application form). 
  • Since the AILET is an offline exam, candidates must carry at least two good-quality ball-point pens of blue or black ink and an HB pencil to the test centre.
  • The certificate is mandatory for candidates who have applied under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category.
Q:   Whom should I contact if there are mistakes in my AILET admit card?
A: 

In case of mistakes found on your admit card, contact the AILET exam authority at 011-40787555. Candidates can call on this contact number from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm on all working day.
