AILET 2025 Detailed Analysis

According to the candidates who appeared in previous year AILET exam, GK was the most difficult exam section. The questions in this section were asked from events which took place previous year. The difficulty level of English was moderate. The overall exam difficulty level moderate.

One of the AILET 2025 UG test-takers, Amandeep, shared his opinions about the exam. According to him, the GK section was the most challenging in the AILET 2025 BA LLB (Hons.) question paper. In contrast, he found the Logical Reasoning section to be easy. Overall, Amandeep described the question paper as easy and expects the cutoff to exceed 90.

AILET 2024 BA LLB Analysis

Tanveer Kaur

According to Tanveer, the exam was easy to moderately difficult. She also appeared for CLAT 2024 and found AILET 2024 more difficult than CLAT 2024 exam. As per her opinion, the cutoff will be around 100. 

Vivan 

Vivan considered AILET 2024 very difficult. According to him, Logical Reasoning and English sections were very difficult. The questions in the Logical Reasoning were very difficult. However, the English section was very lengthy. 

Anshika Bansal

As per Anshika, AILET 2024 was very though. The Logical Reasoning section was a hard nut to crack. There were no unexpected question asked in the exam. She aspires to get admission to NLUE Lucknow or NLU Hyderabad.

AILET 2024 LLM Analysis

Diya Arora

According to Diya Arora, AILET 2024 was very hard. The cutoff for the exam will be around 85. Logical reasoning was the section in which most questions were asked. These quetions questions were based on assumptions (assumption based questions). 

Bharati

Bharati cosidered the difficulty level of AILET 2024 between moderate and difficult. According to her GK and Current Affairs section was the easiest section. In this section, the questions were based on international events prominently. According to her the cutoff will be around 80-90. 

Vaishnavi

Vaishnavi considered English to be moderately difficult. According to her, English was the easiest but very lengthy section.The Logical Reasoning was a very tricky. The questions in the Logical Reasoning was based on critical reasoning. There were a few questions based on analytical reasoning. The difficulty level of the exam was upto Class 12 syllabus.

AILET 2023 exam analysis - Key Highlights

Some of the key points of the exam analysis for AILET 2023 are:

  1. The exam pattern for AILET 2023 was changed.
  2. The Logical Reasoning and English Language sections were merged.
  3. Also, the English language section included passage-based questions.
  4. The AILET 2023 question paper was easier compared to the last edition.
  5. Also, the paper wasn't very lengthy, as candidates were able to attempt the questions in the allotted 90 minutes.
  6. Among the three sections, the GK section was the easiest, followed by English. A cross-section of students found Logical Reasoning questions to be difficult.
  7. Expected cut-off: The cut-off range could be anywhere between 80-90 marks.

AILET 2023 Student Reactions

The candidates who appeared for BA LLB/ LLM entrance exam conducted by NLU Delhi at a test centre in Noida shared their views about AILET 2023 question paper as under:

Tanvi, who appeared for BA LLB exam says:

  1. The static GK was purely static.
  2. Deductive Logic has been merged with English; questions were passage-based.
  3. CR pattern was also changed.
  4. The paper was difficult to complete in 90 minutes.

Tarun (from Delhi) appearing for BA LLB exam shared:

  1. The paper was surprising and belied expectations.
  2. The difficulty level was moderate.
  3. The paper was lengthy.
  4. Expected cut-off: 80-85 marks

Anupam (BA LLB):

  1. The paper was easy but 
  2. If you were quickly able to realize that Logical questions were linked to English, it would be easier to score in the section.
  3. Overall the paper was easy.
  4. The paper was not lengthy.
  5. Last year's paper was lengthy. Also, compared to last year, AILET 2023 question paper was easier.

Ayush Jaiswal

  1. The paper was of moderate difficulty level.
  2. GK was easy and Logical was difficult.
  3. The paper was not very lengthy.
  4. Expected cut-off: 80

Haydel Juneja (from Aligarh):

  1. The pattern was a bit changed, something not expected at all.
  2. The different sections were merged; comprehensions were merged.
  3. All you have to do is stay calm and composed, and that is how I did in my exam. 
  4. The trick is also interpreting how you solve the problems.
  5. The difficulty level was not that much.
  6. Expected cut-off: It could be the same as in the previous edition.

Aastha (East Delhi):

  1. Logical was very difficult
  2. The pattern was completely changed.
  3. GK was very easy, English was easier compared to the previous edition, but Logical reasoning was very difficult. 
  4. The logical and English sections were merged; so the number of passages was fewer.
  5. The passages were lengthy, but the paper as such was not lengthy.
  6. Compared to last year, this year the paper was more difficult.

Rahul Dev (from Faridabad) - BA LLB: 

  1. The pattern was completely changed
  2. English and logical reasoning were combined.
  3. Logical reasoning was easy.
  4. The paper was also not lengthy. 
  5. Expected cut-off: around 90 marks.

AILET Exam Analysis 2021

The exam was conducted on July 30 from 2:00-3:30 PM for BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD course admissions at NLU Delhi. Majority of the candidates found the AILET 2021 paper easier as compared to CLAT exam. However, similar to CLAT, AILET too was lengthy and many candidates could not complete their paper on time. The AILET 2021 cutoff is expected to be higher than previous year's cutoff. Check complete AILET exam analysis to know the paper difficulty level, type of questions asked and expected cutoff.

The AILET question paper for UG course contained 150 objective-type questions of 150 marks. One mark was allotted for every correct answer and 0.25 marks were deducted for every incorrect answer. AILET 2020 Exam Analysis by Students

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted AILET 2020 on behalf of NLU Delhi on September 26. The exam was held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for the first time ever owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the test-takers, the difficulty level of AILET 2020 was moderate, however, the paper was lengthy. Many candidates found it difficult to attempt all the questions in 90 minutes.

Section-Wise AILET Exam Analysis 2020

Here are the major analysis highlights of each section of AILET 2020 exam:

English

  • The overall difficulty level of the section was moderate
  • The section had some twisted questions
  • Important topics from which questions were asked include Nouns, Synonyms & Antonyms, Verbs and Idioms & Phrases

General Knowledge

  • Overall, GK was the easiest of all the sections
  • The section carried Current Affairs as well as static general awareness questions
  • Questions were based on topics and events such as Nobel Peace Prize, Academy Awards and Ajanta caves

Elementary Mathematics

  • The section was difficult to attempt as it carried tricky and time-consuming questions
  • Important topics on which the questions were based include Probability, Equations, Profit & Loss and Interest

Legal Aptitude

  • The section was of moderate difficulty level
  • Questions were based on legal facts and principles, however, candidates found them lengthy
  • As per experts, there were about 18 questions on Legal Knowledge and 17 questions on Legal Reasoning

Logical Reasoning

  • This section was again of moderate difficulty level
  • There were about two to three lengthy questions on logical reasoning
  • The remaining questions were based on analytical reasoning
