AILET Third Merit List 2026: BA LLB & LLM Merit List PDFs, Category-wise Ranks & Marks

AILET 2026 Third Merit List

The National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) will release the Third Merit List for the BA LLB and LLM programs on the website for provisionally selected candidates. This list will be declared after the announcement of AILET 2026 second provisional merit list. This list will mention the names of candidates who could not make it to the first or second merit list. The third merit list include details like the application number of candidates eligible for admission in the third round of the AILET counselling.

AILET 2026 Third Merit List Date and Time

The schedule of merit lists will be issued as per the notification to be released for AILET counselling, at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The third merit lists for BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM will be made available as separate PDFs. Candidates will have to visit the website to access the list, along with details such as their ranks, marks obtained, and program options based on their category and merit position.

The third merit list is often smaller than the AILET first merit list 2026 and second merit list, catering to vacancies left after the second round of the counselling and seat allotment. What after AILET 2026 Third Merit List?

Candidates will have to consider their scores and ranks to decide what to do after the release of third merit list. There can be two scenarios, if your name is there or if your name is not there in third merit list as well. 

If you find your name on the Third Merit List, then,

• Verify your name and selection- Candidates must crosscheck their rank, category and course opted for.
• Download the admission letter- Visit the website and download your admission letter mentioning the reporting dates, documents required, fees payment instructions, etc.
• Pay the admission fee- Visit the college and complete the admission fee payment along with submitting the required documents and confirm your seat.

If you do not find your name on the Third Merit List, then you will have to wait for the other lists to be announced. Also, candidates are advised to look for other colleges for admission. This is because the seat intake at the NLU Delhi is limited and after the third merit list announcement, admission to the courses at this institute is limited for some seats only. 

Tips for AILET Fourth Merit List 2025

Candidate who did not get their names in third merit list and are still hopeful for the fourth merit list must keep their documents ready for the counselling purpose. They should keep checking the website for the latest updates.
