AIBE XXII 2026: The Bar Council of India is all set to begin the AIBE 22 Registration Process 2026 from August 19, 2026. Eligible candidates can fill out the application form by visiting the official website, i.e., allindiabarexamination.com. The last date to fill the application form is October 27, 2026. As per the new eligibility criteria, final-year law students (without backlogs), graduates who have received their degree but have not enrolled or have submitted their enrolment certificates and law graduates who have not received their degree can apply for the All India Bar Examination.

Qualifying exam

Candidates who have passed or are in the final year of a three-year LLB or five-year LLB degree (with no backlogs) are eligible to appear for the AIBE exam. Therefore, the academic qualifying exam for AIBE candidates is 

  1. 3-year LLB degree, OR
  2. 5-year integrated LLB degree

Minimum marks in qualifying exam

The BCI states that no minimum marks are required to appear in the AIBE exam. However, a candidate must secure a minimum percentage or grades in their law degree as prescribed by universities for further education. 

Age limit for AIBE exam

There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the All India Bar Examination. 

State Bar Council Registration/Enrollment 

A candidate who has not registered with their State Bar Councils as an Advocate can apply. As State Bar Council enrollment is no longer mandatory for AIBE eligibility.

The BCI will release the AIBE 22 Answer Key 2026 in two phases: provisional and final. Candidates will be able to challenge the AIBE Provisional Answer Key 2026 until the objection window is open. Bar Council of India will release the AIBE 22 result online. The authority is expected to release the AIBE XXII result 2026 between January 7, 2027, and January 10, 2027. Both exams are national level. While AIBE is a certification exam, CLAT is an entrance exam to get admission into NLUs. The difficulty level of both the exams are more or less same.
