NEET Question Papers of Past 7 Years

NEET previous year's question paper is one of the important key resources which will give a candidate an upper hand in his/her preparation for the exam. Solving last year's NEET question paper helps candidates provide much-needed exposure for the upcoming exam. Candidates get an idea of what to study and how much to study. NEET 2025 Exam Pattern

NTA releases the NEET question papers after the exam is conducted. Since it is a paper-pencil-based test, candidates are allowed to carry the question papers outside the centre. NEET 2025 Exam Structure

NEET 2025 will carry a total of 200 questions out of which 180 questions would be available for attempt. Questions will be from three subjects, namely, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and each of these subjects will have two sub-sections. Section A will carry 35 questions and Section B will carry 15 questions, out of which 10 questions will be applicable for attempt. Each question carries four marks and one mark of negative marking scheme is applied for each wrong answer. No marks will be awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.

NEET Previous Years’ Question Paper Analysis

According to the NEET 2024 analysis, the difficulty level of the exam was moderate. Physics was termed as the toughest section, whereas Biology was named as the easiest section in NEET 2024. The Physics section was the most difficult section. It comprised 45 questions and was dominated by questions from Electricity, Modern Physics and Mechanics, together comprising 65 per cent of the Physics section. The questions were mostly formula-based. 

The Chemistry section was easy to moderate. The questions were mostly fundamental but there were four to five graph-based and numerical questions in this section. The Biology section was the easiest section in the question paper for NEET 2023. This section comprised 90 questions, which were segregated into questions from Botany and Zoology. The experts stated that the Botany section was tougher than that of the Zoology section. On the other hand, the Zoology section was mostly based on the Class 12 syllabus. The maximum questions was asked from the Human Physiology topic, and the Ecology section had the lowest weightage.

Best Time to Solve NEET Previous Years’ Question Papers

Ideally, NEET aspirants should start solving the previous years’ question papers of NEET at least three months prior to the exam. By then, they would have completed the NEET syllabus and know the exam pattern thoroughly. While solving the NEET question papers, aspirants should ensure that they maintain the exam duration of three hours and do it at a single stretch without any breaks. It would be even better if they solved the NEET previous years' question papers from 2 pm to 5 pm, the actual exam timing. This would adjust candidates’ body clock and ensure that they can concentrate fully on the actual day of NEET 2025.
