Q:   Which topics were removed from the Chemistry subject of the NEET syllabus?

The National Medical Commission (NMC) removed some topics from NEET syllabus in 2024. There are around nine chapters in Chemistry which have been removed. In Chemistry, these chapters or topics were removed from the units given in the table below.

Q:   Are NCERT books enough to complete the NEET syllabus?

Yes, NCERT books are sufficient to complete the NEET syllabus. A number of past years' NEET toppers have claimed that they referred only to NCERT books for preparation. NCERT textbooks act as the base to complete the syllabus and develop conceptual clarity and understanding of the topics and chapters. However, for practice purposes, students may refer to other books and resources as well. Q:   Why are some topics added to the NEET syllabus but are not included in the NCERT books?
