GPAT application form will be closed today on January 12, 2026. To fill form, students either need to click on page given below or visit website at natboard.edu.in. Students must note that GPAT eligibility criteria must be fulfilled before filling form online. Prior to this, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released GPAT 2026 application form on December 23, 2025. After GPAT registration window is over, authorities will open edit window to make changes in form. By knowing GPAT dates 2026 students can make their strategy to qualify. According to it, the GPAT 2026 exam will be conducted on March 7, 2026.

After the conclusion of the exam, the authorities will release GPAT results on April 7, 2026. Along with the declaration of the results, authorities also release the GPAT cutoff marks for all the categories. What is Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)?

Many times students often get confused about what is GPAT?

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences conducts the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test or GPAT exam for admission to MPharma or equivalent courses. Candidates who will be shortlisted in the merit list will be called for further counselling procedure at the participating institutes. How to fill GPAT Application Form 2026

The exam-conducting body released the GPAT 2026 registration in online mode on December 23, 2025. The GPAT registration window is open for 20 days after the application process begins. The GPAT 2026 registration last date is January 12, 2026. The GPAT exam form 2026 is available on the NBEMS portal. Every year, all AICTE-approved Institutions, University departments, constituent and affiliated colleges conduct GPAT exam to shortlist qualified students for admission into MPharma.

The GPAT 2026 eligibility criteria are set by NBEMS, which determines the ability and basic acumen of the candidate to appear for the exam. Below are the criteria:

The GPAT registration window has been opened for a period of around 20 days. Students will have to fill the application form before the last date which is January 12, 2026.

National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) the exam conducting body of GPAT exam decides and releases the GPAT exam pattern. The GPAT exam syllabus is also released by NBEMS. The GPAT official notification revealed the updated GPAT exam pattern, which remained the same this year as well. Once the official notification is out, candidates can start applying for the exam. Q:   Is GPAT an online or offline exam?

National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducts GPAT entrance exam in online mode. The MPharma entrance exam is organised at the designated test centers across several cities in India. On the day of the examination, each candidate will be allotted a computer terminal at the exam centre where they will have to input correct answers against the questions being asked in the exam. Candidates will be able to appear for the exam in two shifts: morning and forenoon.

Q:   Is there a negative marking in the GPAT exam?
A: 

Yes, candidates whose answer is incorrect will score a negative marking of -1 mark each per question. There is no negative marking for the unattempted questions. The maximum marks of the question paper are 500. Candidates will be given 3 hours to complete the test. Carefully attempt the questions to avoid negative marking.

GPAT Exam Centres 2026

NBEMS releases the list of locations of the GPAT exam centres, along with other critical exam information, in the official notification. This year NBE designated 114 exam cities in various states around the country where GPAT exam will be conducted. Candidates will have to enter four cities of their choice in preferential order. Maharashtra state has the highest 30 exam cities in which GPAT will be conducted. Students must note that allocation of GPAT exam centres will be done based on first cum first serve.

The final GPAT 2026 exam centre will be notified on the admit card.

Yes. Candidates can select the GPAT test centre at the time of registration. Three choices will be given to choose the test centre city. The entrance exam will be held in 110 exam cities in India. Candidates can choose any three preferred exam cities as per their convenience and proximity to their hometown.

Q:   How many test centres can I select for GPAT exam?

Candidates must select 3 preferred test cities from the available choices. The test centres are allotted on first come first serve basis. It is mandatory to select three test centers from which NBEMS will allot the test centre location. The final decision rests with the exam conducting authorities. Candidates cannot make changes cities chosen while getting registered. Therefore, select the test cities carefully.

Q:   Can I change my exam centre choice in GPAT application form after submitting the form?

Candidates need to contact the administrative authorities in such situations. However, it is not possible to change the GPAT exam centre once the choices are locked and entered. Even at the stage of GPAT application correction, candidates do not get the option to change the GPAT exam centre.

Q:   By when a candidate need to reach the GPAT exam centre?
A: 

Students who are planning to appear in the GPAT exam must note that normally the GATE opens around 2 hours before the entry to the examination hall. However one must reach to the GPAT 2026 exam centre atleast half n hour (30 minutes) before so that one can get settle and prepare before appearin in the exam.

The GPAT admit card 2026 will be released on the NBEMS-GPAT website on March 2, 2026. The GPAT hall ticket will be available for download after the applicant signs in to their GPAT application portal using the login details issued at the time of the registration process. The hard copy/print out of the GPAT admit card is the only valid proof of identification and verification which is acceptable at the GPAT test centre. Candidates failing to produce the GPAT admit card at the test centre in hard copy format will not be allowed to centre the test centre.

GPAT Cutoff - Previous Year

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released the GPAT cutoff and merit list on the official website, natboard.edu.in. The GPAT merit list consists of a list of toppers. The GPAT total marks will be mentioned in topper list. It contains details such as a candidate’s name, roll number, All India Rank (AIR), sectional scores, sectional percentile, overall percentile, and sectional percentiles.

GPAT 2026 results will be declared by NBEMS in online mode on the website, tentatively by the fourth week of June 2026. The GPAT result will be issued in the form of a merit list that can be downloaded in PDF format. When two or more candidates get the same or equal marks in the GPAT exam, this situation is known as a tie-breaker. In this scenario rank will be allotted by assessing marks in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry fewer negative responses in the paper, and lastly the one older in age will be given preference. NTA has set the rules and guidelines in the prospectus issued at the time of registration. For further clarification, candidates can refer to the GPAT brochure.

Q:   Can I request a re-evaluation of my GPAT answer sheet?
A: 

No, applicants who appeared in the GPAT 2026 exam must note that there is no such procedure of re-evaluation of the GPAT answer sheet 2026. Once the authorities prepared the final GPAT answer key, then evaluation of the candidates is done based on it. Hence, there is no such procedure of reevaluation of the GPAT answer sheet. 

Q:   When will the GPAT result be available?

NBEMS will declare the GPAT result at the official website on April 7, 2026. Candidates can download their GPAT scorecard from the online portal. Along with the GPAT result 2026, candidates will bd able to access the GPAT final answer key which will be provided  in the M.Pharma entrance exam.

GPAT 2026 Answer Key

NBEMS releases the GPAT provisional answer key 2026 a week after the conclusion of the exam. Initially, the GPAT provisional answer key is released on the official website. Candidates have to log in using the application number and password or date of birth to download the answer key. The GPAT answer key (previous year) carried all the answers to the questions asked in the examination. Students will be provided the facility to challenge the GPAT answer key 2026 by paying INR 200 per question within the stipulated time limit.

The GPAT final answer key will be released after taking the responses and suggestions from the students. Candidates can calculate and estimate their scores by using the final answer key.  After a few days, along with the GPAT result, the final GPAT answer key will be released by the exam conducting authority, NBEMS.

Candidates need to visit the official website of GPAT exam. After this, students need to click on answer key challenge option. Provide their registration number and password/DOB. Enter Security Pin and then click on View Question Paper. Check the provisional GPAT answer key and match the recorded responses with it. In case the candidate is not satisfied with any of the responses provided in the provisional answer key, they are free to challenge it within the stipulated time frame.

The memory-based GPAT answer keys are released mainly by coaching institutes. Since the GPAT exam is conducted in online mode only. After the conclusion of the exam, coaching institutes solve questions discussed by various students. Since this GPAT memory-based answer key will be released by taking input from the students, hence there can be some error or mistakes in the questions and answers provided. 

Q:   What is the last date to raise objections against the GPAT provisional answer key?
A: 

Candidates are allowed to lock-in their objections in online mode at the official website. The GPAT provisional answer key challange will start when the authorities will release the answer key.  

The last date to raise objections will be mentioned in the notice which will be out along with release of answer key. The objection-raising window will be opened by NBE and no further objections or challenges will be entertained.

Q:   Who will announce the GPAT exam dates for 2026?
A: 

The GPAT exam dates are announced by the exam-conducting authority National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on the official notification. It has been released on the website at natboard(dot)edu(dot)in. According to it, GPAT 2026 exam will be conducted on March 7, 2026

The GPAT exam will be conducted in the afternoon shift from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Q:   Can I get into Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University without GPAT?

For post graduation M.Pharma, the candidate must attempt the GPAT-Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test and qualify it. For admission to the B.Pharma program at DPSRU, a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the Higher Secondary/Intermediate examination with English as one of the compulsory subjects is required. Yes, there is no restrictions on the number of attempts that a candidate can give to appear for the GPAT entrance exam. However, there is a lower age limit to appear for the exam. Candidates not less than 17 years of age can only apply for the GPAT exam. The GPAT 2026 application process is generally conducted for a period of 30 days. The GPAT 2026 registration process will be organised online at the official admission portal. It is mandatory to register for the exam in order to apply for the MPharma course.
