Q:   What is JIPMAT answer key?
A:
JIPMAT answer key is a document that provides the correct answers to questions that appeared during the online test. NTA issues the JIPMAT answer key that can be used by the test takers to check their answers and assess the performance before declaration of the results. Besides the test takers, JIPMAT answer key is used by NTA for assessment of the scores on a standardised scale. Candidates who took the exam are relieved of the result anxiety to an extent once they calculate their scores using the JIPMAT answer key. NTA releases the answer keys in two phases, initially the preliminary answer key is released. Candidates are allowed to raise objections against the same. Based on the challenges, subject matter experts draft a final answer key for JIPMAT exam. JIPMAT final answer key is used for calculation of the scores by NTA.
Q:   How is the final score calculated based on the JIPMAT answer key?
A:
To calculate the JIPMAT score, NTA uses the final answer key drafted after the candidates have submitted their objections. NTA compares the answers as per the JIPMAT final answer key from the responses marked by the test takers. After calculating the number of correct and incorrect responses, NTA considers the JIPMAT marking scheme to evaluate the final score of all the test takers. NTA does not use the score normalisation process for JIPMAT as it is conducted in a single shift; therefore, the difficulty level is similar for all the candidates. The marking scheme used for score evaluation is as follows: - For each correct response, candidates are awarded four marks - Every incorrect response leads to a negative marking of one mark - No negative mark prevails for unattempted questions.
Q:   Will JIPMAT answer key be available and its result be declared on the same day?
A:
JIPMAT answer key is released in two phases. Initially, NTA releases the provisional answer key. Candidates are allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key until a specified date. Soon after the objection window is closed, NTA releases the final answer key along with the declaration of JIPMAT results. Therefore, the date for release of the provisional answer key and result declaration is different. However, the release date of final answer key and declaration date for JIPMAT results is the same. The timing for final answer key release and result declaration may differ.
