JIPMAT answer key 2026 is available on the official website, exams.nta.nic.in. Those students who took the JIPMAT exam can download the JIPMAT provisional answer key and the response sheets. Against the JIPMAT answer key, NTA allowed candidates to raise objections. INR 200 processing fee is applicable for each objection in the answer key. Challenging JIPMAT 2026 Answer Key

The process to challenge the JIPMAT answer key is provided below:

After candidates access the JIPMAT login portal to check the provisional answer key, they must click on the 'Raise Objection' button.
Each question, as well as each option, is associated with an ID mentioned in the question paper PDF and the response sheet.
Candidates can check the section name alongside the question ID and the correct option ID.
In case the candidate is doubtful about the correct option ID mentioned, he/she can object to the same and mark the correct option in his/her view.
Candidates must also add remarks along with the relevant claims.
After filing challenges, candidates need to pay INR 200 for each objection raised.

How to Calculate JIPMAT Marks?

To calculate exam score with JIPMAT response sheet and answer key, candidates have to add and subtract marks per question as per the official status - correct, incorrect or unanswered. They can martch their responses in the answer key and calculate expected marks.

JIPMAT Marking Scheme

There is negative marking in JIPMAT so while calculating the score, candidates need to keep that in mind. Given below is the table indiJIPMATing latest marking scheme of the JIPMAT exam

Each correct answer marked by a candidate will fetch 4 marks.
NTA will deduct 1 mark for each incorrect response marked by the candidate.
No marks will be awarded/deducted for un-attempted questions.
In case an answer is changed in the final answer key, only the candidates who attempted the question correctly as per revised key will be awarded marks.
In case two or more options of a particular question are found to be correct with release of final answer key, only the candidates who attempted the question correctly as per revised key will be awarded marks.
In case a question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the
candidates.

Q: Will there be a weightage for work experience in JIPMAT selection process?

No. There is no weightage for work experience in the JIPMAT selection process. IPM admissions in IM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya includes a weightage to JIPMAT scores and gender. In the previous sessions, JIPMAT participating Iims have provided a weightage to Class 10 scores, and Class 12 scores as well. However, with the change in the admission policy, Iims have shifted to providing more weightage to the JIPMAT exam scores. IIM Jammu is providing 95 per cent weightage to the JIPMAT scores. While, IIM Bodh Gaya is expected to provide 100 per cent weightage to the JIPMAT scores.

Q: Can I reappear for JIPMAT if I am not satisfied with the result? Is there any provision for the same?

No. JIPMAT is held once a year. Therefore, candidates cannot reappear for the exam. NTA will not conduct the JIPMAT exam again for any candidate under any circumstances. The JIPMAT score is valid for one year only. Candidates who are not satisfied with their performance can reappear in the next admission cycle. Besides the re-appear requests, NTA does not entertain any requests for re-evaluation or re-totalling of the answer sheet. If the candidates do not wish to skip an additional year, they can go for other BBA entrance exams, such as NPAT, IPMAT LUACMAT Lucknow University UGPET SNUSAT among others.

Q: What is the weightage given to the JIPMAT exam results in the overall selection process?

IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya has separate admission policy for IPM courses offered at the institute. IIM Jammu admission policy for IPM selection includes 95 per cent weightage for the JIPMAT scores with 5 per cent for female candidates. While IIM Bodh Gaya is expected to provide 100 per cent weightage to JIPMAT scores. IIM Bodh Gaya reserves the seats for female candidates instead of providing additional weightage in the selection process. In the previous sessions, JIPMAT participating Iims have considered Class 10 and 12 scores in the selection process along with the 60 per cent weightage for the JIPMAT scores. The IPM admission policy at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya may or may not change with each session.

Q: Are there any coaching institutes that release the JIPMAT unofficial answer keys?

Less than 10K candidates appear for the JIPMAT exam across India. Only a few coaching centres have a course on JIPMAT preparation. Therefore, not many coaching centres release the JIPMAT answer key. However, some of the coaching institutes release JIPMAT memory-based answer keys. The memory-based answer keys of the JIPMAT exam cannot be relied as it is based on the test takers' memory of the question. There are chances of incorrect communication of question or answer options. Candidates must wait for the provisional answer key of JIPMAT exam to calculate their probable scores. NTA releases the JIPMAT provisional answer key officially.

Q: Who releases JIPMAT answer keys?

JIPMAT answer key are released by the National Testing Agency. The NTA conducts the JIPMAT exam for admission to IPM courses offered by IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. After the completion of the exam, the NTA releases the provisional answer key. JIPMAT answer key comprises correct answers to the questions that appeared in the exam. These objections are considered to draft a final answer key.

The final answer key of JIPMAT exam is released along with the declaration of results on the official website. NTA will use the JIPMAT final answer key to evaluate the performance of the candidate in the JIPMAT exam.

Q: How is the final score calculated based on the JIPMAT answer key?

To calculate the JIPMAT score, candidates must allot four marks for each correct answer and deduct one mark for each incorrect answer.

Q: Are there any sectional cutoffs in JIPMAT based admissions?

JIPMAT participating Iims will release the sectional cutoff scores to shortlist candidates for further admission process. The final admission criteria does not have a weightage for the sectional cutoff. Both IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya provide a weightage to the overall JIPMAT score, academic performance and gender of the candidate who pays the EOI fees. Those who do not meet the JIPMAT sectional cutoff scores are marked ineligible for payment of the EOI fees. Further, such candidates are not considered for evaluation under the final admission criteria.

Q: What happens if the number of applicants meeting the JIPMAT cutoff exceeds the available seats?

JIPMAT cutoff scores are considered to shortlist candidates for admission. The final admission takes multiple parameters into account, including the academic performance of the candidates, JIPMAT scores, reservation criteria, number of seats, and gender of the candidate. While preparing the list of selected candidates, JIPMAT participating Iims will follow the weightage as per the selection criteria. Candidates who have paid the EOI fees but exceed the number of available seats are kept on waitlist. If any of the selected candidates cancel their admission, waitlisted candidates are considered for admission.
