Overview

CEED 2026: IIT Bombay has made the Scorecard of CEED 2026 available on the official website from March 10, 2026, onwards. The last date to download CEED Scorecard is July 31, 2026. Candidates can download the scorecard by using their registered email ID and password. CEED Scorecard 2026 is available for download on the Candidate portal.

It is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result. The scorecards are released for all candidates who appear in the CEED exam. However, the Part-B score, Total Marks, and Merit Rank (s) will be released ONLY for candidates who meet Part-A CEED qualifying marks

CEED 2026 results were announced on March 04, 2026.

How to Download CEED Scorecard 2026?

Candidates can go through the steps to download the scorecard.

  • Go to the scorecard download link.
  • A login window will open.
  • Fill in your email ID and password.
  • CEED Scorecard will be displayed.
  • Download and take a printout of the scorecard.

Details Mentioned on CEED 2026 Scorecard

If the candidate fails to qualify Part A, his or her scorecard will include only the Part A score. CEED 2026 merit rank will be prepared by considering the total CEED 2026 score, which in turn will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to Part A and 75% weightage to Part B.

The scorecard for CEED 2026 Entrance Exam was released at ceed.iitb.ac.in. It carries the following information.
  • Name of the candidate
  • Roll number
  • Photograph and Signature of the candidate
  • Total number of candidates who took the exam
  • Number of qualified candidates
  • Part A qualifying marks (category-wise)
  • CEED qualifying score (category-wise)

CEED 2026 scorecard will become available for download from March 10, 2026 to July 31, 2026. After this, candidates will not be able to download the scorecard. CEED Scorecard can be downloaded from the official website.

Q:   What if I forget my CEED application login details?
A: 

Candidates can get their login credentials through Forgot Password option on CEED portal using their registered email ID.

  • Forgot Password option is available onCEED portal. While selecting this option, candidates will need to enter their registered email ID.
  • A password reset link or instructions will be sent to email.
  • By following steps mentioned in email, candidates can reset their password.

Q:   Will IIT Bombay send hard copies of CEED 2026 scorecard?
A: 

No, IIT Bombay will not send the hard copies of CEED 2026 Scorecard. The scorecard of CEED 2025 will be issued only in online mode. The candidate has to download it from the CEED admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in. To download the scorecard, log in by entering your email id and password. 

Q:   If I fail to qualify Part A, will I be issued the CEED 2026 scorecard?
A: 

Score card of CEED 2026 will be issued to all candidates who will appear in CEED 2926 exam. So, even if you have failed to qualify Part A, you can download the scorecard.

But note that in this case, scorecard will only include qualifying status and Part A marks. Part B marks, Total marks and merit ranks will only be issued to qualified candidates. Candidates who have been assigned a merit rank can participate in the counseling process conducted by participating institutes.

Q:   When will the scorecard of CEED 2026 be released?
A: 

IIT Bombay released the scorecard for the CEED 2026 exam on March 10, 2026. The last date to download the scorecard is July 31, 2026.

CEED 2026 may not have any provision for re-evaluation or re-totalling of scores. Any requests for rechecking or viewing answer sheets will not be considered or entertained. Marks obtained in Part-A will be used to shortlist candidates. Part-B answer books will be evaluated manually ONLY for candidates shortlisted
from Part-A.

The final score of CEED 2026 would be prepared by allotting:

  • 25 percent weightage to Part A marks
  • 75 percent weightage to Part B scores.

Q:   When will the CEED 2026 result be declared?
A: 

IIT Bombay has already declared results for the CEED 2026 online. The results were released on March 04, 2026, online at ceed.iitb.ac.in. To check results, candidate needs to log in to the result portals using their login ID. 

CEED 2026 results was released for all candidates who appeared in the design entrance exam. However, the CEED 2026 merit rank will only be issued to candidates who qualify for Part A and are shortlisted.

Q:   Can I download the CEED 2026 scorecard at the time of the declaration of exam results?
A: 

The results of CEED 2026 was declared on March 4, 2026.

Meanwhile, the scorecard was made available for download from March 10, 2026, onward. So, you won't be able to download the scorecard at the time of declaration of CEED 2026 results.

The scorecard will be released online at the CEED 2026 - IIT Bombay admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in. You can download the scorecard by logging into the scorecard-download portal using your email id and password.

In case of candidates who have qualified Part A, the CEED 2026 scorecard will include details like Part A & Part B marks, Open and category-wise merit ranks.

What after CEED Scorecard?

After the declaration of the CEED Scorecard, individual institutes open their admission process on the basis of CEED Score. Candidates need to apply to them. No joint counselling is conducted for CEED by IIT Bombay.

The following should be done once CEED Scorecard is released.

1. Apply to Participating Institutes and Result Sharing Institutes: Candidates who have qualified for M.Des need to fill the M.Des application form for institutes (IITs and others) in which they wish to study. Each institute will have its own admission process and dates for admission.

2. Written Exam/Design Test: Some of the institutions may conduct their written test to give admission to CEED-qualified students.

3. Personal Interview: Some of the institutions may interview the CEED-qualified students. Students may be asked to prepare portfolio and appear for the interview.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for appearing in the CEED 2027 entrance exam?
A: 

To appear in the CEED 2027 exam, the candidate must have passed a degree, Diploma, or postgraduate degree exam of a minimum three years. There is no upper age limit or limit on the number of attempts for appearing in CEED.

Q:   What happens if I apply for CEED but do not meet the eligibility criteria?
A: 

Eligibility criteria for appearing in CEED 2026 exam are prescribed by IIT Bombay. Criteria are given in the information brochure. Candidate needs to carefully go through criteria and only apply for admission if they meet the requirements.

If candidate fails to meet eligibility criteria, he or she could be disqualified at any stage of the admission process. Also, the participating colleges will have a document verification session, where all documents will be cross-checked.

Q:   Can I use previous years' CEED score for admission purpose?
A: 

 The CEED score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result. This means you can use CEED scores for admission in the current academic session only. You can't use for admission in the next year.

Likewise, you can't use CEED 2026 scores for admission in the upcoming session.

CEED 2020 Toppers

CEED 2020 was taken by 5,564 candidates. Out of this number, 1,724 candidates qualified for the exam. The topper of CEED 2020 is from Chhattisgarh, and he scored 69.68 marks in the exam. Q:   Can I use the CEED 2026 scorecard for admission to result-sharing institutes?
A: 

The result-sharing institutes of CEED 2026 will allocate some of their M.Des seats for CEED 2026 qualified candidates. However, these institutes may also use scores of other entrance exam for admission purposes.

So, if you have qualified CEED 2026, you can apply to these institutes. Note that there will be no joint counseling for the result-sharing institutes. So, you need to apply directly to the institute you are seeking admission to.

Q:   Will IIT Bombay also release the list of toppers along with the CEED 2026 scorecard?
A: 

The scorecard of CEED 2026 was released on March 10, 2026. IIT Bombay can also release the name of the toppers sometime thereafter. The details will be released in the form of a press release.

Q:   Can I use the CEED 2026 score card as a proof of date of birth?
A: 

The scorecard for CEED 2026 is meant only for admission to the M.Des program offered by participating and result-sharing institutes. It cannot be used as a proof of birth. Further, the scorecard will also not be a legal document that can be used as a category or disability certificate.

Also, note that the scorecard of CEED 2026 will be valid only for a period of one year. So, if the candidate doesn’t take admission within that one-year period, the CEED 2026 scorecard will no longer be valid for admission purposes.

Q:   What is the last date to download the scorecard of CEED 2026?
A: 

IIT Bombay will release the scorecard for CEED 2026 on March 10, 2026. It can be downloaded till July 31, 2026. Scorecards will be availble on the webiste of CEED.

Q:   What aspects will be covered by CEED 2026 exam analysis?

The analysis of the CEED 2026 exam will be available after the exam.

The exam analysis covers points given below.

  1. Sectional difficulty - The difficulty level will be evaluated on three scales, easy, moderate, and difficult. 

  2. Overall difficulty - It will take into account the sectional difficulty as well as the difficulty level of the exam over the years. 

  3. The weightage of questions - It will examine the number of questions asked from the various topics. 

  4. Good attempts - This will showcase the minimum number of questions you are expected to attempt to have a chance at admission. 

  5. Expected cut-off - Both Part A cut-off and admission cut-off would be covered.

IIT Bombay released the CEED 2026 on March 10, 2026. It contains the following information.

  • The name and roll number of the candidate

  • Category the candidate is seeking admission under

  • Part A marks

  • Qualifying status

  • Part B & Total Marks, and Merit Rank will only be issued if the candidate has qualified Part A

  • The date of issue of the scorecard

  • Validity of the scorecard

  • The total number of candidates appearing in CEED

Q:   Do I need to refer to previous years CEED cut-off?

It is a good idea for candidate to have an idea about the cut-off marks for participating institutes. For one, this will help candidate check the cut-off trends across the years. Candidate will also provide insights into details, which institute has highest cut-off. By gaining insights into the cut-off, the candidate will be able to prepare for the CEED exam accordingly.

If candidate is eying one of the top exams, cut-off would be going to be high. So, candidate must check cut-off for their category and check out what rank range is a safe bet for admission.

Q:   What is the difference between the admission and qualifying cut-off?
A: 

The CEED exam has two parts - Part A and Part B. The Part B answer booklet will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Part A. The minimum marks needed to qualify Part A is the qualifying cut-off for CEED Part A. 

On the other hand, the admission cut-off would be released by the CEED 2027 participating institutes. It is the minimum score one needs to score for admission to the M.Des programme in their chosen category.

Q:   How will the CEED 2027 qualifying cut-off be calculated?

The reporting time at the CEED Centre for the CEED Entrance Test was 7 AM. The exam timing was 9 AM to 12 PM.

IIT Bombay has not recommended a dress code for taking CEED Exam. But candidates should dress modestly for the exam. They should avoid heavy jewellery, rugged jeans, chunky shoes, etc.

Yes, candidates must bring a printout of CEED admit card for exam. Soft copies of the admit card will not be accepted. Also, along with the admit card, the candidate should also bring a photo ID proof.

No, you cannot get the CEED Centre changed once the Admit card is issued. There is no scope to change it. In fact, CEED officials will not entertain any requests for a change in the exam centre.
