IIIT Delhi Introduces Certificate Program in Intelligent Product Development

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi in collaboration with industry partners, has announced the launch of the Intelligent Product Development - Certificate Program (iPD-CP). Offered by the Centre for Intelligent Product Development (CiPD) at IIIT-Delhi, this 24-week, full-time, on-campus program is designed to equip aspiring startups, recent graduates, young professionals, and students with the expertise to design and develop production-ready electronic products.

The IIIT Delhi Certificate Program in Intelligent Product Development admissions has been ongoing with the application deadline set for April 28, 2025. As per the schedule, the IIIT Delhi Intelligent Product Development program is scheduled to commence on June 23, 2025. The program fee is INR 1,25,000 plus GST. Candidates who opt for full payment in advance may be eligible for discounts.

Who are eligible for IIIT Delhi Certificate Program in Intelligent Product Development?

As specified by the IIIT Delhi, the IIIT Delhi Certificate Program in Intelligent Product Development is designed for final-year engineering and diploma students, recent graduates, hardware startups and entrepreneurs, as well as industry professionals.

IIIT Delhi Certificate Program in Intelligent Product Development Scholarship

IIIT Delhi offers scholarships to recognise merit and promote diversity among participants. Merit-based scholarships (20 in total) are awarded to toppers of eligible degree or diploma programs and winners of CiPD-recognized hackathons, with awards of INR 25,000, 15,000, or 10,000 based on performance.

Additionally, non-merit-based scholarships include an EWS Scholarship of INR 25,000 (if no merit scholarship is availed) or INR 10,000 (if a merit scholarship is already availed), and a Women Candidate Scholarship of INR 10,000.

About IIIT Delhi Certificate Program in Intelligent Product Development

The iPD-CP offers an integrated curriculum that spans conceptualisation, design thinking, embedded systems, hardware design, and production readiness. Participants benefit from practical training through hands-on workshops, prototyping activities, and projects using industry-standard tools. The program features strong industry engagement, including mentorship and training from professionals, and emphasizes product realization through a Capstone Project where participants build a production-ready prototype.

It also provides entrepreneurial support for aspiring startup founders, with potential scholarship opportunities through the READY program of IHFC, the Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Delhi, for students developing startup-oriented products.
