SNAP 2025 will be conducted on December 6, 14 and 20, 2025. Candidates can appear for more than one session of SNAP exam. Registration process for the exam is underway at snaptest.org website.The last date to register for SNAP 2025 is November 20, 2025.

What is SNAP Exam?

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP Test is a common admission test conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University for admission to the MBA/PGDM programmes offered by its 16 constituent institutes. The SIU offers MBA/PGDM courses in various popular as well as niche specialisations. Apart from SIU constituent institutes, JK Business School-Gurgaon also accepts SNAP score for admission to its MBA programmes.

SNAP exam is a speed-based test and the question paper comprises 60 MCQs from General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. The SNAP is conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. There is no sectional time limit in SNAP and the questions are easy to moderate. Candidates can take three attempts in SNAP. Best of the three scores will be considered for SIU MBA admission. Admission through SNAP is cut off based. Candidates who meet the minimum cut off score for a particular course is shortlisted for admission. For final selection, candidates have to appear for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the SIU institutes individually.

Q:   What is the registration process for SNAP 2025?
A: 

Registration process of SNAP 2025 will be online. The application form will be available at SNAP TEST website. Candidates will have to fill the SNAP application form by creating a login ID and making the fee payment. Candidates need to mention the number of attempts in a single form only. They also have to select the SIU colleges and courses for admission in the same form. The process of SNAP application form filling has been described below:

  1. Go to SNAP Test website
  2. Click on 'new registration' 
  3.  Enter personal details, nationality, city, phone number and email ID
  4.  Verify registration through OTP received
  5. Login with the application number and password received in mail 
  6. Select test cities and sessions 
  7. Enter academic details and upload photo/scanned signature 
  8. Pay the application fee to complete the process.
Q:   Is SNAP exam conducted in multiple slots?
A: 

No, SNAP exam is conducted in only one slot but on three days. In 2025, the exam will be conducted on three days and the candidates can attempt the exam in all three sessions. Separate admit card will be released for every SNAP session. Multiple sessions are conducted for SNAP to provide an opportunity to candidates to improve their scores. If the first session turns out to be difficult for a candidate, they can study more and take the second exam to improve the score. The best scores of all the sessions taken by the candidate is taken into consideration for SIU MBA admission, thus candidates need not worry about whether their second/third attempt will better than first or not.

Q:   Out of the three sessions, SNAP score of which can I use for admission?
A: 

SNAP exam is conducted in three sessions and a candidate can appear for one, two or all sessions. They can use the best score of their all sessions for admission. For example, if a candidate has scored more marks in SNAP session 2 than SNAP session 3, they can use SNAP session 2 score for admission.

Q:   Is SNAP easier than all other MBA entrance exams?
A: 

Yes, SNAP can be considered easier than all other MBA entrance exams but one needs to still prepare for it with complete dedication. The SNAP may be considered easier as it is a 60-minute exam and the number of questions is also 60. The English section does not have RC passages and QA-DI are easy. Moreover, one can attempt it thrice in the same academic session and use the best score of all attempts to seek admission.

Q:   I did not score well in SNAP 2024, can I appear for SNAP 2025 to improve score?
A: 

Yes, you can appear for SNAP 2025. There is no cap on number of attempts in SNAP. One can appear for the exam, any number of times until they get their desired score. However, it is very important to prepare well for SNAP. Only then one can improve score in the subsequent attempt. One should note down their shortcomings in the first attempt and work on them so that they can make up in the second attempt. 

Q:   How many attempts are allowed in SNAP exam?
A: 

Every candidate can make three attempts in SNAP exam. The SNAP exam is conducted in three sessions in a gap of one or two weeks. Candidates can mention their number of attempts in the SNAP application form. However, they will have to pay application fee per session. Thus, candidates who are sure of making multiple attempts only then they should apply for multiple sessions as the fee amount is non-refundable.  The scores of best attempt will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates for Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test.

Ideally candidates must take all three attempts as the difficulty level of the sessions could be different and it may so happen that one session is easy and candidates can score high in that.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates have to fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria for appearing in SNAP exam 2025:

  • Bachelor's degree in any stream or equivalent with minimum 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD candidates) from a recognised university or institute can apply for SNAP 2025.

  • Candidates in final year of their Bachelor's degree or equivalent can also appear in SNAP. However, they will have to present passing certificate of final year by a certain deadline to the institute. Till then their selection will be provisional.
  • There is no age limit for SNAP. Any individual or working professional can appear for the exam.
  • International students have to obtain a certificate of equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to be able to apply for SNAP 2025.
  • For certain MBA specialisations offered by SIU constituent institutes, one may need to have studied a relevant course in graduation.

Q:   I do not have 50 percent in graduation. Can I apply for SNAP?
A: 

The minimum eligibility criterion for SNAP is 50 percent score in graduation for General category candidates. However, if you belong to any of the Reserved categories and have a minimum of 45 percent of in graduation you can apply for SNAP.

Q:   What is the MBA selection criteria through SNAP?
A: 

Candidates are selected on the basis of SNAP cut offs for the MBA admission round which consists of Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). This round is held in February and March after the announcement of SNAP result.

Candidates who clear the GE-PI-WAT round are selected for MBA admission. The parameters for selection also include class 10, 12 and graduation scores, academic profile and work experience. All SIU institutes conduct Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test but individually.

Sectional SNAP cut offs may be evaluated for selection of candidate for Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. Scores of every section will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates along with their academic record. Thus, candidates must ensure that they perform well enough in each section of the SNAP exam.

Q:   I am in my final year of Graduation. Can I apply for SNAP?
A: 

Yes, you are eligible to apply for SNAP. You will need to mention the same in the SNAP application form. Since there is minimum score requirement for SNAP, final year candidates will have to make sure that their minimum score of first and second year of the bachelor’s degree programme should be above 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved category). So, you need to check the average score of your first and second score is above the minimum requirement or not. If not, the in the final year you will have to score as much that the average score of three years matches the requirement. If the average score of your first and second year is above the minimum requirement even them, in the final year, you will have to score above the minimum score requirement otherwise the admission will be deemed invalid, even if you fulfill all the admission criteria.

SNAP registration cum application process 2025 is online. The exam will be held in three sessions and candidates will have to select the date/session of their choice in the application form. SNAP exam is to be paid per session. For choosing SIU institutes, candidates have to pay INR 1000 per college. Check how to fill the SNAP 2025 application form below:

Q:   Is it mandatory to fill SNAP application form for admission to MBA programmes of SIU institutes?
A: 

Yes, it is mandatory to fill the SNAP application form for admission to the MBA programmes of the SIU institute. There is a field in the SNAP application form where candidates have to mention their choice of SIU colleges and MBA courses they wish to pursue. They need to pay INR 1000 per college selection. There will be no institute specific application form released later. Candidates will have to use the SNAP application ID to fill the admission shortlist forms of the constituent institutes. If a candidate fails to mention a college in their SNAP application form, they will not be shortlisted for WAT-GE-PI of that SIU institute.

Q:   Can I make corrections in my SNAP form after submission?
A: 

Correction in the already submitted application form is not allowed in SNAP as it doesn't have form correction provision like other MBA entrance exams. Candidates can edit their form only till the time it is not submitted and the fee is not paid. Until the form is saved in the student dashboard, you can edit it. Once the fee payment is done, your SNAP application will be locked for examination agency’s verification.

Thus, candidates must preview the SNAP application form at least once before submitting it. If they make a mistake in the form, they will have to fill a fresh form before the deadline and if they miss the deadline and the application window is closed, they will not be able to appear for the exam. 

Q:   When will SNAP 2025 exam be conducted?
A: 

SNAP 2025 exam will be conducted in the month of December. Exam dates are December 6, 14 and 20, 2025. Candidates will have the option to appear for 1, 2 or all 3 sessions. Q:   Is it important to solve all the questions in SNAP?
A: 

SNAP question paper has 60 questions in all the sessions, English has 15 questions, QA, DI-DS has 20 questions and A-LR has 25 question. Candidates are not supposed to attempt all the questions. But they must attempt about 2/3rd of the total questions with maximum accuracy to be able to get a good score. SNAP sectional cut offs are important for selection to SIU, so don't ignore one section for another. 

Q:   What is the difficulty level of SNAP question paper?
A: 

SNAP is one of the few MBA entrance exams which is easy in terms of difficulty level. It is much easier The number of questions, as well as the exam duration are less that than other MBA entrance exams. The type of questions asked in SNAP as also pretty straightforward.

Moreover, SNAP exam is held thrice for candidates to repeat attempts, which allows candidates to improve their score if they want to. The SNAP syllabus is same as other MBA entrance exam and there are no questions on Reading Comprehension or Data Sufficiency. This makes the SNAP exam much easier to crack than other exams.

Since 2020, the exam is conducted for only 60 minutes and the total number of questions asked is also 60. The first section of SNAP question paper is General English, the second section is Analytical & Logical Reasoning and the third section is Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency.

Q:   What is the SNAP syllabus for Quantitative Aptitude?

SNAP syllabus for Quantitative Aptitude includes topics of Data Interpretation as well. Candidates have to study Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Number System, Logarithm, Linear Equations & Quadratic Equations, Set Theory, Arithmetic, Progressions, Binomial Theorem, Surds and Indices, Inequalities, Permutation & Combination, Probability Functions, Mixtures & Alligations, Co-ordinate Geometry, Series, Graphs-Pie Chart, Bar Graphs and Tables as part of SNAP Quantitative Aptitude syllabus.

The SNAP Quantitative Aptitude section includes Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency. The total number of questions in this section is 20 and the section is dominated by Arithmetic. SNAP 2025 exam will be held at designated test centres under CCTV surveillance. Candidates will have to follow certain guidelines. Listed below are some key dos and don’ts of SNAP exam.

SNAP Dos:

  • Reportign time will be two hours before commencement SNAP exam
  • Candidates with disability and their scribe will have to carry relevant documents of identification
  • Candidates have to carry two colour printouts of SNAP 2025 admit card and one of the following documents as ID proof:

  4. Voter ID

At the SNAP exam centre, a candidate will be allowed to carry only certain items. Since the exam is held under CCTV vigilance, candidates must not try to sneak in any document or item which is not authorized by the exam authorities or mentioned in the exam day instruction guide. Q:   How can I get mistakes on my SNAP admit card rectified?
A: 

In case, there is a mistake or error on the SNAP admit card, the candidates must contact the exam helpdesk to get the error rectified. They should get the error rectified before the exam date. SNAP help desk contact details are mentioned above on this page. The SNAP admit card is required after the entrance exam too. Thus, it is important to get the error rectified if there is any.

The candidate must preserve the rectified SNAP admit cards until the end of admission process. The admission authorities can ask for the SNAP admit card for authentication purpose during Group Exercise (GE), Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) round and at the time of final admission. 

Q:   Is the same SNAP admit card valid for all three sessions?
A: 

No. Candidates cannot use the same SNAP admit card for all sessions. For every SNAP session, a separate admit card is issued having date, time, slot and test centre mentioned on it. Any candidate who has applied for more than one SNAP session will be issued admit cards for those sessions. They are supposed to carry the session specific SNAP admit card to the exam centre on the exam day.

Q:   How many marks are deducted for skipping questions in SNAP?
A: 

As per the official SNAP exam pattern, there is no negative marking for skipping questions in SNAP. However, there is negative marking for wrong answers. So, candidates must not select wrong options. If they are not sure of the correct answer, they must rather leave the questions unanswered as for that they will be marked 0 and not in negative.

SNAP exam is not remote proctor based. It is computer based. Candidates have to visit a designated test centre to appear for SNAP. The option to select test city for centre allotment is given to candidates in the application form. The SNAP test centre is allotted to the candidate in the city they select in the SNAP application form. On the day of the exam, candidates have to visit the test centre at the given time to attempt the test on a computer terminal.

Q:   For how long is SNAP scorecard be available for download?
A: 

The SNAP scorecard is available for download for about 1 year from the date of release. Test takers will be able to download their scorecards any number of times by using their login credentials. After one year, the link to download the SNAP scorecard will be deactivated. If a candidate will need to download the scorecard, then they will have to seek help from the SNAP Test authorities.

SNAP scorecard is a mandatory document for admission to any college accepting the score. Thus, candidates must download their scorecards as soon as it is released and save a soft copy of the same in a folder or email for future reference. This way, they will not have to worry about misplacing it or the need to download it again.

Q:   Is there a provision of marks revaluation in SNAP?

No, there is no provision of rechecking or revaluation in SNAP. Candidates get three attempts in SNAP to improve their score in a single academic year. Candidates can attempt the exam three times. However, whether to appear for the exam again or not is the decision to be taken at the time of SNAP form filling only as the option to appear for multiple sessions is mentioned in the application form only. You cannot register for re-test after the SNAP registration window closes.

Best score of all the attempts will be considered for admission. The scores mentioned on the SNAP scorecard are final. If any candidate wishes to improve the score, then they will have to attempt the exam next year again. 

Q:   If I forget my SNAP ID, how can I retrieve my login to download SNAP result?
A: 

If you forget your SNAP login credentials, then you can create a new password by using the ‘forgot password’ option available on the login page. You can simply click on ‘forgot password’ and follow the instructions displayed on scree to change the password to log in. To get a new password, you will need to remember the correct email ID or the mobile phone number through which you had registered earlier. If you don’t remember that too, then you will have to contact the exam authorities for help.

It is better to note down the password somewhere so that you don’t forget it. SNAP login password is not only important for results but also for all other admission related activities such as filling the PI form, etc.

Q:   What is the passing mark in SNAP?
A: 

There is no passing mark in SNAP. Candidates scoring more than 0 in the exam are eligible for WAT-PI round of SIU institutes. However, shortlisting of candidates are based on SNAP cut offs, which are between 50 to 99 percentile across the 16 SIU institutes. For example, SIBM Pune cut off for PI shortlisting in 98+ percentile, while SSSS Pune cut off is 55 percentile.

Q:   What is SNAP percentile?
A: 

SNAP percentile refers to a candidate's rank against all the test takers, calculated on the basis of marks scored in the exam. For example, total marks in SNAP is 60, so any candidate getting the highest score out of 60 will get 99.99 percentile. In most cases more than one candidates get the highest score so their percentiles are same.

Q:   What if I meet SNAP cut off but my graduation score is less than 50%?
A: 

The minimum academic score required in graduation for MBA admission through SNAP is 50% for General category students and 45 % for SC/ST/PwD category students. It is a mandatory criterion so if a candidate does not have this much score, they will not be selected for admission even if they meet the SNAP cut off.

Admission process through SNAP 2025 for SIU affiliated institutes will include Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI). Selection of candidates for GE-PI-WAT will be done on the basis of SNAP percentile scored by candidates.

Shortlisted candidates will have to participate in GE/PI and WAT rounds to pass the second phase of the admission process. The final selection for MBA batch 2026 will be based on each candidate’s academic record and performance in SNAP and GE/PI and WAT.

Q:   Is SNAP exam conducted in multiple slots?
A: 

No, SNAP exam is conducted in only one slot but on three days. In 2025, the exam will be conducted on three days and the candidates can attempt the exam in all three sessions. Separate admit card will be released for every SNAP session. Multiple sessions are conducted for SNAP to provide an opportunity to candidates to improve their scores. If the first session turns out to be difficult for a candidate, they can study more and take the second exam to improve the score. The best scores of all the sessions taken by the candidate is taken into consideration for SIU MBA admission, thus candidates need not worry about whether their second/third attempt will better than first or not.

Q:   I do not have 50 percent in graduation. Can I apply for SNAP?
A: 

The minimum eligibility criterion for SNAP is 50 percent score in graduation for General category candidates. However, if you belong to any of the Reserved categories and have a minimum of 45 percent of in graduation you can apply for SNAP.

Q:   Out of the three sessions, SNAP score of which can I use for admission?
A: 

SNAP exam is conducted in three sessions and a candidate can appear for one, two or all sessions. They can use the best score of their all sessions for admission. For example, if a candidate has scored more marks in SNAP session 2 than SNAP session 3, they can use SNAP session 2 score for admission.

Q:   I am in my final year of Graduation. Can I apply for SNAP?
A: 

Yes, you are eligible to apply for SNAP. You will need to mention the same in the SNAP application form. Since there is minimum score requirement for SNAP, final year candidates will have to make sure that their minimum score of first and second year of the bachelor’s degree programme should be above 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved category). So, you need to check the average score of your first and second score is above the minimum requirement or not. If not, the in the final year you will have to score as much that the average score of three years matches the requirement. If the average score of your first and second year is above the minimum requirement even them, in the final year, you will have to score above the minimum score requirement otherwise the admission will be deemed invalid, even if you fulfill all the admission criteria.

Q:   How many cities can an applicant choose in SNAP for test centre allotment?
A: 

An applicant can select up to three cities for allotment of test centre in the SNAP application form. The exam authorities will allot the exam centre to candidates in their preferred city. In case, seats are not available in the first preferred city, it will be notified in the form and candidates can select another city. Candidates must select their home city or city of current residence as first preference.

SNAP is conducted in about 84 cities across India. The latest list of SNAP cities has been released along with the SNAP registration form. Every city will have at least one SNAP exam centre to accommodate a minimum of 50 test takers. You can select only one city per exam session. For example, if you want to appear for SNAP exam only once, then you can select only one city. 

Q:   Do I have to take a colour print out of the SNAP admit card?
A: 

According to the exam guidelines issued by SNAP authorities, the candidates are required to carry colour print outs in A4 size of the admit card to the test centre. The candidates must carry two print outs of their SNAP admit card to the examination centre. They are also required to paste a passport size photo on the hard copies of the admit card. The photo should preferably be the same as uploaded with the SNAP application form. If not, then it should be recently clicked and not more than three months old. Candidates must read all the important guidelines mentioned on the SNAP admit card in order to not make a mistake regarding documents and identification process.

Q:   How many times can I download SNAP admit card?
A: 

There is no restriction on downloading SNAP admit card multiple times. But it will be wiser to download it once and keep the copy saved in a folder and email, so that you can access it anytime and anywhere. Because every time you wish to download the SNAP admit card from the official website, you need to log in every time.
