SNAP is a speed based test in which 60 minutes can fall short, if one hasn’t practiced enough. Aspirants must prepare for SNAP 2025 with the recommended SNAP books, sample papers and mock tests. Check below some articles for helpful tips on SNAP 2025 preparation:

Q:   When will SNAP 2025 cut off be announced?
A:

The date of SNAP cut off announcement is never communicated by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, as the selection process is conducted by the constituent institutes individually. However, it has been seen over the years that the SNAP cut off are released about a week after exam result declaration. The SNAP cut offs are available through login at the websites of SIU institutes as candidates who pass the SNAP exam, have to fill the personal interview form based on their score and college cut off. The SNAP cut off usually ranges between 55-98 percentile. The cut offs for SIMB Pune is the highest every year and the cut offs for SIHS Pune is the lowest.

Q:   What is SNAP percentile?
A:

SNAP percentile means a candidate's rank against all test takers. It is calculated on the basis of marks scored. For example, total marks in SNAP is 60, so any candidate getting the highest score out of 60 will get 99.99 percentile. Many a times, more than one candidates get highest score so their percentiles are same.

Q:   What are the SNAP cut off determining factors?
A:

SNAP cut offs are determined by:

  • Number of candidates in exam
  • Difficulty level
  • Number of candidates who passed
  • Pass percentage
  • High percentile range
  • Number of seats available
Q:   Is SNAP cut off released along with SNAP result?
A:

SNAP cut off is not released along with SNAP result. The SNAP accepting colleges release the admission cut offs for PI shortlisting about 15-20 days after result announcement. The SNAP cut offs of every institute is different and determined independently by their admission panel. The SNAP cut offs are usually out by February first week, every year.

Q:   I do not have 50 percent in graduation. Can I apply for SNAP?
A:

Minimum eligibility criterion for SNAP is 50 percent score in graduation for General category candidates. However, if you belong to any of the Reserved categories and have a minimum of 45 percent of in graduation you can apply for SNAP.

Q:   What if I meet SNAP cut off but my graduation score is less than 50%?
A:

Minimum academic score required in graduation for MBA admission through SNAP is 50% for General category students and 45 % for SC/ST/PwD category students. It is a mandatory criterion so if you do not have this much score, you will not be selected for admission even if you meet SNAP cut off.

SNAP score is vaild for one year only. If you have appeared for the exam in 2025, then the scores will be valid for admission to 2026 batch only. If you decide to drop a year, you will have to appear for the exam again, next year.

If your name does not reflect in the first list of candidates selected for admission through SNAP, then you must wait for second list. Colleges release wait list of candidates who are eligible for admission, if the seats remain vacant after first round of admission.

Minimum academic requirement for SIU admission through SNAP is graduation with at least 50% marks (45 % for reserved categories). Higher your academic score, higher the chances of getting selected.
