Take up one topic at a time. You can start with the one which is seemingly familiar to you. Understand the logic of the given pattern or the series. You must understand that the same logic doesn't apply to all patterns. Thus, the need for ample practice of different types of LR questions. Practicing sample questions, go through a few previous years' SNAP question papers to know they type of reasoning questions are asked. Go for a last SNAP mock test in the last one week before your SNAP 2024 session.

Since, reasoning is all about understanding patterns and applying logic, keep that in mind and make a SNAP 2025 preparation plan. Get hold of multiple sample papers and practice questions of different variety. To prepare for SNAP 2025 exam’s A-LR section, you need to focus on two things:

A:

It is advised that candidates must not rely only on SNAP books but also practice previous years SNAP question papers and mock tests. For English, they must read various fiction and non-fiction books. SNAP authorities provide official mock tests a month before the exam and candidates must practice the SNAP mock tests at least once. Yes, SNAP preparation books recommended by the experts have sample questions with solved answers. All the books mentioned above have sample questions and their process to solve and answers so that candidates can understand and practice well. The questions range from easy to tough and are of various types which help candidates in preparation. However, you should nor rely on the sample questions of course books only. You should practice official as well as unofficial SNAP mock tests of different difficulty levels and types.

Q:   Which SNAP books should I read for General English section?
A:

A: For preparation of General English section of SNAP exam, candidates must study the following books:

  • Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis
  • High School English Grammar & Composition by Wren & Martin
  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension for the CAT by Nishit K Sinha

SNAP 2024 Preparation Tips for Analytical and Logical Reasoning

  1. The Analytical and Logical Reasoning section of SNAP is usually of moderate difficulty level and questions are doable, but if there’s not enough practice, this section can prove to be a toughie. So, practice and practice more.
  2. Solve each SNAP reasoning question at least thrice. In the first attempt you will understand the questions, in the second attempt you’ll be able to solve it with accuracy and in the third attempt you’ll be able to solve it quicker than previous attempt.
  3. Practicing different types of questions over a long period of time will help you discover tricks and shortcuts that you can apply in the exam to solve the puzzles faster.
  4. Always look for the explanation to understand why a particular option is correct and the rest are incorrect. This is what reasoning is all about. If you find the reason, you can solve any LR question.
  5. Not all SNAP reasoning questions are same, so you cannot apply the same shortcut or reasoning trick to the different questions. Learn to identify the type of question to be able to know which method to use on a particular question. This will happen only if you practice the questions over a long period of time.
  6. Inadequate practice of SNAP reasoning questions can leave you confused with uncommon shapes or symbols in the exam and you will end up spending more time than you should on such questions. Thus, practice more and more.
  7. In the SNAP 2025 exam, read the question carefully, simplify the data, approach the sequence in the question systematically and draw diagram to understand the question better, if needed.

SNAP 2025 aspirants can also refer to the following books for practice questions:
