SNAP 2026 Preparation Tips for QA, DI-DS

Quantitative Aptitude is a calculation-based section and if you are good at Mathematics, this section will not pose much challenge during SNAP exam preparation. Students who didn’t study Maths in 10+2 and/or graduation, must start preparation with revision of topics with NCERT Mathematics books of Class 9 and 10. They must revise the fundamentals of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Mensuration. Check out key tips for SNAP preparation for Quants and Data Interpretation:

  • Start with understanding the basics of Quants and Mathematical formulas. Every topic has a rule that needs to be understood. Gain conceptual clarity in each one of them.
  • Only memorizing Quant theorems and formulae will not help. You need to also develop the ability to apply them to the relevant questions. There will be similar looking questions but the approach will be different. Learn to make out that difference.
  • After completing a topic, practice sample questions and exercises given at the end of the chapter to understand the application of concepts. Analyse what type of questions you could solve in the first attempt and which were the questions that posed challenge. This will help you determine what should be the focus area the second time.
  • Keep making short notes of important Maths theorems, formulae and shortcuts that you learn in the process. It will come in handy for revision in the last week before SNAP 2026 exam.
  • SNAP Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency questions are based on Tables and Charts. Memorise Mathematics tables up to 20, squares, cubes, square roots, percentage and fraction.
  • SNAP is a speed-based test, so the key is to develop speed and accuracy in solving the questions. Practice a good number of sample papers and mock tests to gain control over speed and accuracy. Remember, the time limit for solving 60 questions is 60 minutes only.
  • Get hold of SNAP sample papers from different sources. You need to solve not only a good number of questions but also a variety of questions to ace Quants and Data Interpretation.
  • The Data Interpretation questions require a lot of experience in understanding the data, the more you practice sample question the better you get at it.
  • In the SNAP 2026 exam, don’t take chances as there is negative marking for wrong attempts. Aim to reach the sectional cut-offs, first. Out of 20, try to get minimum 12 questions correctly, then if the time permits, try another three to four questions but do not attempt any question you are unsure about. SNAP doesn’t take into consideration the sectional cut-offs for admission so you don’t stand to lose much.
