SNAP eligibility criteria 2026 will be announced by the SIU for this session along with exam notification. Candidates who meet the SNAP eligibility criteria can appear for the exam which will be held in December 2026. SNAP eligibility criteria has been prescribed by the SIU. Candidates who wish to pursue MBA from SIBM, SCHMRD, SIIB and other Symbiosis institutes need to have a minimum score of 50% in graduation. Check this article for detailed SNAP eligibility criteria 2026.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2026

SNAP eligibility criteria is Graduation with minimum 50 per cent aggregate. Reserved category students get concession in marks. Eligibility crieteria for SNAP is prescribed by the Symbiosis International (Deemed to be) University, Pune, for MBA/PGDM programme. Since, MBA is a post graduate level course and a technical programme, the SNAP eligibility criteria is as per the AICTE guidelines.

Candidates who have secured a qualifying degree from any Foreign University must acquire an equivalent certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), are also eligible to apply for SNAP exam.

The SNAP is a common entrance exam conducted annually for MBA/PGDM courses offered by SIU constituent institutes. Only those candidates who will fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply for SNAP 2026. SIU offers some niche MBA specializations, for which Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks will be required in relevant subjects.  

SNAP 2026 registration process will begin most likely in the first week of August. The SNAP 2026 exam will be held in December in 3 sessions. Eligibility criteria for all three exams is same. Candidates interested in appearing for the exam must make sure that they meet the SNAP eligibility criteria before filling up the SNAP application form to avoid rejection. SNAP Eligibility Criteria for Indian Candidates 

  • Candidates belonging to General category must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent
  • Candidates belonging to Reserved category must hold bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate or equivalent
  • The graduation degree can be in any education mode but should be from a UGC recognised university or equivalent
  • Final year graduation students who are due to appear in the exam or awaiting their result are also eligible to apply for SNAP exam

SNAP Eligibility Criteria: International Students

Foreign National, Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates are also eligible to apply for SNAP 2026. The SNAP eligibility criteria for international students are mentioned below: 

  • It is mandatory for candidates applying under Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO category to clear an English Proficiency Test.
  • Candidates can choose to appear for either IELTS or IELA and need to secure band 6 and band 4, respectively.
  • At the time of SNAP registration, International applicants must have a proof of residence, copy of Visa and passport and in case of student visa, the candidate should have a Bonafide Certificate and Letter of Provisional Admission from the University College/Institution.

Yes, you should prepare for SNAP separately, especially with regard to sample question and mock test practice. Even if you don't cover the syllabus separately, practice SNAP mock test specifically.

Yes, SNAP is conducted in online mode at designated test centres. Candidates have to take the test on a computer system and use only the mouse cursor to key in the answers.
