CTET Result 2023: CTET December cycle 2022-23 result was released by the CBSE on the official website on March 3, 2023. The candidates who appeared in the CTET exam can now check their CTET Result 2023 and can download CTET Marksheet 2023 through Digilocker and UMANG Application.  Candidates must note that they can download the CTET 2023 final answer key along with the results. The CTET provisional answer key 2022-23 was published by the CBSE on February 14, 2023, and objections were accepted until February 17, 2023. Candidates can check the direct link to upload the CTET 2022-23 final answer key and scorecard here.

After the release of the CTET result, successful candidates will get government jobs on the basis of the cut-off list, vacancy, and interview. To become a teacher in central schools, it is necessary to have a CTET certificate.

CBSE releases CTET results within six weeks of the conduct of the exam. The CBSE publishes the CTET result on the official website, CTET. Nic. In. Candidates will be able to check their CTET result and download the scorecard along with the cut-off marks in an online mode. The marksheet for the CTET 2023 exam will be made available in the Digi locker.

After the declaration of the CTET result, candidates are awarded eligibility certificates. Further, candidates are informed that the qualifying CTET exam does not confer them the right to employment/recruitment. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CTET is conducted twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for Classes 1 to 8. The CTET exam involves two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET Paper 1 is for those candidates who wish to teach Classes I-V and Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach Classes VI-VIII. The candidates aspiring to teach Class I-VIII are required to attempt and clear both papers. What is CTET Certificate 2023?

CBSE issues the CTET Certificate in digital format in the DigiLocker account of all qualifying candidates. Candidates will be able to download the CTET certificate after a few days of the result declaration. The marksheet and certificate of the CTET will be digitally signed and legally valid under the IT Act. When the candidate downloads the certificate, he or she will be able to apply for the teacher recruitment examination.

How long will the CTET certificate be valid?

The CTET certificate is now valid for a lifetime. CTET-qualified candidates are awarded the eligibility certificates. The CTET Certificate validity has been extended from seven years to a lifetime. Candidates qualifying for the CTET 2022-23 exam will be able to apply for teacher recruitment in Central schools at any point in time till they fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the respective recruiting agency or school. Also, Further, candidates should know that the qualifying CTET exam does not confer them the right to employment/recruitment. This is because CTET is simply a qualifying exam and is only one of the eligibility criteria to be hired at the post of a teacher.

How to become a government teacher?

In order to be qualified for appointment as an elementary teacher of classes 6 to 8, applicants must meet any one of the given CTET eligibility criteria in terms of education qualification:

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ed).
  • Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd course.
  • Graduation with minimum 45 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd in accordance with the rules and norms of NCTE.
  • Passed Class 12 exams with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and passed or appeared in the final year of four-year B.El.Ed.
  • Passed Class 12 exams with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and passed or appeared in the final year of four-year BA/BSc.Ed or BA.Ed/BSc.Ed.
  • Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd in Special Education.

Note: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD category are given a relaxation of 5 per cent in the minimum marks required to be eligible for the CTET exam.

When Will CBSE Publish The CTET Result 2023?

It is expected that, CTET result 2022-23 will be released shortly. However, it is to be noted that just getting the CTET certificate will not make a candidate eligible for a government job. CTET certificates are now valid for a lifetime.

That is, the CTET score is valid for a lifetime from the date of the declaration of CTET result. Any candidate who has cleared the CTET exam may appear again in order to improve his or her score.

Candidates who appeared in the CTET exam 2022-23 can check their CTET result by following the steps as mentioned below.

  • Visit the official website of CTET - ctet.nic.in.
  • Click on the result link present at the bottom of the page.
  • Enter your roll number now.
  • Click on the Submit
  • Download the CTET 2022-23 result.
  • Take print out of the CTET Result 2022-23 for future reference
  • CTET Certificate can be downloaded from DigiLocker after some time.

What Is The Normalisation Of CTET Scores?

The CTET December cycle exam was conducted from December 28, 2022 to February 7, 2023 in multiple shifts. As a result, in each shift, CBSE used a different set of CTET question papers for 2022. As a result, in order to ensure that the exam difficulty level and CTET syllabus coverage remain comparable across all shifts, the CBSE may use a normalisation process to declare the CTET results for the December 2022–2023 cycle and adjust any variations. It is expected that the scores will be normalised based on the factors mentioned below:

  • Number of registered candidates
  • Number of test-takers
  • The exam's level of difficulty
  • Minimum qualifying marks

According to the NCTE notification, candidates require 60% or more to pass the CTET examination. The minimum marks required by a candidate being a General category to qualify the CTET exam is 90 out of 150 and for SC, ST, OBC and PwD is 82 out of 150.
