Shiksha reported live from iON Digital Zone, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi today, June 20, 2019 where over 1,000 students took the exam in first shift (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM). Most of the students that we spoke to shared that paper-I was of easy to moderate difficulty level. Read and watch the complete UGC NET 2019 student reaction and analysis below:
Swati: Paper-I was pretty simple as compared to UGC NET previous year question papers. The level of difficulty of the exam has definitely gone down this year.
Nisha: The difficulty level of UGC NET paper-I was not that high. For me, however, the computer knowledge part was tough. The calculations from Mathematics were easy.
Rabina: My paper-I of UGC NET 2019 went fine. But I found Mathematical and Reasoning questions a bit difficult. But otherwise, paper-I was more or less easy and good.
Sanya Gaur: The entire paper-I of UGC NET June 2019 exam was easy. There was no difficulty level of the exam as such. Anybody can crack the paper-I easily. But I had difficulty with the font size of the paper. I found the font size of questions very small and some implementation should be done in that aspect. UGC NET paper-I pattern 2019 was exactly the same as previous years. There were 50 questions in the exam.
Anjali: I am a History student. This year, there was no break between paper-I and II, which turned out to be good. Earlier, we used to face problems in managing time in paper-I. But this year, we could utilize some time dedicated for paper-II to complete the first paper, which benefitted us. Also, this year, UGC NET paper-I was easier as compared to past years.
Nitesh Srivastava: The difficulty level of paper-I was moderate. I found Mathematics section a bit tough but questions from all other sections were easy to attempt. Also, the online testing system was the best part of UGC NET 2019 exam.
Shaila Rasheed: I found paper-I tough. I took two-three UGC NET mock tests and there were no questions on Data Interpretation in the test. Today, in the actual exam, however, there were questions from this topic.
Deepshikha Jalal: The first paper of UGC NET 2019 exam was doable. One can manage the exam easily by practicing past years’ UGC NET question papers.
Mohammed Rouf: Paper-I was easy. But I found attempting the paper, especially Reading Comprehensions, in computer-based-test (CBT) mode difficult. It took time in reading the passages due to which I could not give much time for paper-II of the exam.
Swati: Questions from paper-I were easy. Many of the questions were from books that I studied for UGC NET preparation.

After BA, you need to pursue an MA in Urdu (or a related subject).
Once you complete or are in the final year of your MA, you can apply for UGC NET in Urdu.
In short:
BA alone cannot fulfill the eligibility for UGC NET.
The eligibility for UGC NET is MA in Urdu (or related field) with 55%+ marks

No, PhD students aren't exempt from UGC-NET or CSIR-NET. To get admission in a PhD course, UGC is requesting institutions to integrate NET scores.
