UGC NET Mock Test 2025: The December session exam was held from December 31 to January 7, 2026. The Mock test is designed in such a way that candidates feel the experience of giving the real UGC NET exam before the actual exam. How to Take NTA UGC NET Mock Test 2025?

  • Select exam and paper for which mock test needs to be given

  • Read all the instructions on page carefully
  • Click on checkbox against declaration given at end of page
  • Click on Proceed
  • Click on correct option out of four available options

  • Click on Save & Next Save & Mark for Review Clear Response Repeat the above two steps till you reach last question in  mock test
  • Click on Submit
  • Click on Yes
  • Click on View Result to check total score obtained and see correct answers for all questions in test

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2025

The NTA UGC NET exam pattern releases along with the notification PDF at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. It consists of two papers namely Paper 1 and 2. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. A total of 150 questions are asked in the examination. Both papers contain objective-type multiple choice questions. The exam does not have negative marking. Therefore, there will be no deductions for incorrect answers.

Q:   What is the UGC NET 2026 expected cutoff for all subjects and categories?
A: 

The UGC NET 2026 expected cutoff may fall within the range of 216 to 160 for all subjects and categories. The NTA will release the UGC NET 2026 June session cutoff marks after the declaration of the result. Candidates who will meet or exceed the cutoff marks will qualify for further recruitment process.

Q:   Is a separate book required for practicing the mock tests for the UGC NET exam?
A: 

There are several books available in the market that consist of the UGC NET practice sets. Also, some standard guidebooks include model test papers for the practicing of the UGC NET exam. Online test series are also available for the candidates who are aspiring to prepare for the UGC NET exam.

Q:   Where will the UGC NET certificate be released?
A: 

The authority will release the UGC NET certificate on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in and also on the e-certificate portal at ecertificate.nta.ac.in. Candidates can download it by using their login credentials including the application number and password or date of birth.

Q:   Can a candidate give UGC NET without a master's degree?
A: 

No. Candidate must possess a Master's degree with  a minimum of 55% grade score average from a UGC recognised university to apply for the NTA UGC NET exam. Also, if she or he is in the final year of their Master's programme or hold a four year bachelor's degree in specific subjects. 

Q:   Where will the UGC NET Cut Off be released?
A: 

The UGC NET 2026 Cut off for the June session will be released at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. It is the minimum qualifying marks required by the student to clear the exam. The Cutoff PDF will be released along with the result.

Q:   Is UGC NET exam conducted online?
A: 

The UGC NET Dec session exam will be conducted online in Computer-Based Test Mode. It will be held in two shifts. Shift 1 from 9 am to 12 pm and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm.

A: 

The UGC NET application process will start along with the announcement of the notification for the December session. The NTA will also open the application correction window for a limited timeperiod.
