UGC NET Mock Test 2025: The December session exam was held from December 31 to January 7, 2026. The Mock test is designed in such a way that candidates feel the experience of giving the real UGC NET exam before the actual exam. However, Mock test is an essential component in the preparation journey of a candidate.

How to Take NTA UGC NET Mock Test 2025?

Going through the pattern and syllabus of an exam is the first and foremost step towards exam preparation and to boost the preparation level, it becomes imperative for candidates to solve the mock tests. Candidates can take the mock tests now to prepare for the exam and accordingly make strategies, plan their study schedule, etc. It will help candidates in revision and also they will come to know their weak areas and study accordingly.   • Click on link Mock Test UGC NET Exam
  • Select exam and paper for which mock test needs to be given

  • Click on Start Mock Test button
  • Click on Login button
  • Read all the instructions on page carefully
  • Click on checkbox against declaration given at end of page
  • Click on Proceed
  • Click on correct option out of four available options

  • Click on Save & Next Save & Mark for Review Clear Response Repeat the above two steps till you reach last question in  mock test
  • Click on Submit
  • Click on Yes
  • Click on View Result to check total score obtained and see correct answers for all questions in test

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2025

The NTA UGC NET exam pattern releases along with the notification PDF at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. It consists of two papers namely Paper 1 and 2. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. A total of 150 questions are asked in the examination. Both papers contain objective-type multiple choice questions. The exam does not have negative marking. Therefore, there will be no deductions for incorrect answers.

The UGC NET 2026 expected cutoff may fall within the range of 216 to 160 for all subjects and categories. The NTA will release the UGC NET 2026 June session cutoff marks after the declaration of the result. Candidates who will meet or exceed the cutoff marks will qualify for further recruitment process.

No. Candidate must possess a Master's degree with  a minimum of 55% grade score average from a UGC recognised university to apply for the NTA UGC NET exam. Also, if she or he is in the final year of their Master's programme or hold a four year bachelor's degree in specific subjects. 

Q:   Is UGC NET exam conducted online?
A: 

The UGC NET December session exam will be conducted online in Computer-Based Test Mode. It will be held in two shifts. Shift 1 from 9 am to 12 pm and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm.

No. A candidate will not receive the UGC NET City Intimation Slip by post. The authority will release the City slip on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates required their login credentials to download the city slip including the application number and date of birth.

Yes. It is important for a candidate to carry the UGC NET admit card to the examination centre. Without it, candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam. It consists of the details like name of a candidate, photograph, shift, reporting time, exam day instructions, etc.
