NDA 2 Maths Exam Analysis 2023

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the NDA 2 2023 Mathematics paper on September 3, 2023. The exam for this paper was conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The Mathematics paper carried a total of 120 questions. The total marks allotted to this paper are 300. According to the students, the overall difficulty level of the Mathematics paper was moderate. This paper carried maximum questions from Functions and Trigonometry. Besides, questions were also asked from Probability, Trigonometry, Algebra, Arithmetic Progression and Geometric Progression, Matrics, Circle, Calculus, Determinants, etc.

The level of Mathematics paper of NDA 2 2023 was of Class 10, 11, and 12 standards. For correct answers in the Mathematics paper, candidates will score 2.5 marks and 0.83 marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

NDA 2 Student Reaction 2023 for Maths

Shiksha visited one of the NDA 2 exam centres 2023 in Noida to gather the feedback of students regarding the difficulty level of the exam. Candidates can check below the feedback provided by students.

Anurag Sinha, "The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. Most questions were asked from Probability. This is my first attempt and started preparing for the exam three months before the exam. Less questions were asked from statistics, differentiation, etc."

Abhishek Paul said, "The paper was good in terms of difficulty level and this was my first attempt. Maximum questions were asked from Differentiation."

Aman Verma said, "I have attempted 45 questions and those were basic questions. Equal weightage was given to all the topics. Mostly, questions were asked from probability."

Aman Sharma said, "The Maths paper of NDA 2 was good compared to NDA 1 2023 exam. Questions were asked about Trigonometry, Integration, Differentiation, etc. The paper was easy."

The marking scheme of the NDA 2 Maths paper is given below.

  • For correct answers, candidates score 2.5 marks
  • For incorrect answers, 0.83 marks are deducted
  • No marks are deducted for unattempted questions

The NDA 1 2026 notification was released by the UPSC on December 10 at upsc.gov.in. Along with the notification, the application process started. The last date to apply was December 30, 2025.

The UPSC conducted the NDA 1 exam on April 12, 2026. The official provisional answer key released on the official portal at upsc.gov.in. Candidates can download the answer key PDF for all sets from this page as well.

The total marks for the NDA exam is 1800 that is 900 for written exam and 900 for SSB interview. A score between 400 to 500 is considered secure in the written exam to get into the final merit list. Also, candidates need to pass in each subject minimum of 25% marks. There is no sectional-cut off.
