Candidates are eagerly waiting for CTET answer key 2021. The same is expected to be released this week. The Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET 2021) was held on Sunday, January 31, 2021. The exam was held in 135 cities across the country. Once the CTET answer key is out, candidates can download it from the official website of the exam. Candidates can also raise objections against wrong answer key following due process. In the meantime, candidates can check the CTET passing criteria.
CTET Answer Key 2021: Passing Criteria
In order to pass the CTET exam, candidates are required to score at least 60%. This is the minimum qualifying marks in CTET. The passing criteria remains same for every year. This is the criteria for candidates belonging to the general category. Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST categories need to score 55 percent marks in the exam. Candidates who will score above CTET passing marks will be considered qualified in the exam. Those candidates will be awarded the CTET scorecard 2021 and CTET Certificate 2021. The CTET certificate will remain valid for 7 years, means the candidate are eligible to apply for teacher recruitment in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, and Tribal Schools till 2027. Apart from that, CTET scores are accepted by many state government if fulfill some basic criteria. However, in most of the states, state conducts their own TET exams for the recruitment of teachers in primary and upper primary levels.
CTET 2021 examination was held in two phases. Paper–1 is for teacher eligibility for classes 1 to 5, while Paper–2 is for teaching classes 6 to 8. This year, over 22 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Out of which around 12 lakh appeared in Paper 1 and nearly 10 lakh candidates appeared in Paper 2. After the release of CTET answer key, the board will accept online challenges from the aspirants against wrong answer keys. Once the board completes the scrutiny of the challenges received, they will prepare the final CTET answer key. CTET result will be based on that final answer key.
