M. Sc. Agricultural Science: Admissions to BHU and Other Universities

1. Candidates with 4-year BSc (Ag..)/BSc (Hons.) Ag../BSc (Horticulture) Degree with credit-based course programme.
2. Candidates with a 4-year B.Sc. (Horticulture) Degree with a credit-based course programme under the guidelines of ICAR will be considered for all disciplines of the MSc (Ag..) course except MSc (Ag.) Agronomy.
*A student having an equivalent bachelor’s degree in agriculture from a foreign university may also
be considered. 

• Passed 4-year B.Sc.(Ag)/B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. Or a 4-year degree programme in B.Sc. (Forestry) / B.Sc.
  (Hons.) Forestry from any recognised University. Secured at least 6.0/10 or 2.5/4, 3.5/5, 4.0/6
  OGPA for general category candidates and 2.0/4, 3.0/5, 3.5/6 and 5.5/10 OGPA for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category candidates under the Course Credit System in qualifying examination, as per University guidelines. (For BHU)
• B.Sc. Agriculture with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. (for Sikkim Professional University)

• Minimum 50% marks in B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology. (For Galgotois University)
• Candidate shall have passed B.Sc. (Pass) ZBC, Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or any
  other related field. (For GD Goenka University)
• Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Life Sciences/ Medical Sciences from a recognized University
  OR B.Sc. (Hons.) in Microbiology from the University of Delhi. 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS category, 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD category. (For University of Delhi)
• B.Sc. (Hons.)/B.Sc. under 10+2+3 pattern with any two of the following subjects: Botany, Zoology,
  Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Microbiology, Life Science, Environmental Sciences and Secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned degree. (Banaras Hindu University)

• Bachelor of Architecture degree course or equivalent courses recognised by the Council of Architecture with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate for the general category and 45% or equivalent grade for SC /ST /OBC /PWD /EWS candidates. (For Central Univesity of Rajasthan)
• B. Arch. (Minimum Percentage as per COA)- For Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University,
  Lucknow.

• Master’s degree in any relevant area of Life Sciences/ Zoology / Botany / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Computational Biology and/or Bioinformatics, or any equivalent degree in the fields of life sciences. Candidates should have secured at least 55% marks in the above degree.

• Bioinformatics: Three-year B.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences or B.Sc (Agri/Horti) or any branch of Biomedical Sciences with 50% marks (relaxable up to 5% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) with 50% marks aggregate, which is relaxable upto 5% for SC/ST/PWD applicants.
• Food Science and Nutrition: A pass in B.Sc. Home Science / B.Sc Food Science and Nutrition / B.Sc. Food Service Management and Dietetics / Allied branches in Food Science and Nutrition.

• A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelor's/UG degree with Chemistry for MSc (Chemistry) / with Botany for MSc (Botany) / with Zoology for MSc (Zoology) as one of the subjects from a recognised University or an equivalent examination. (For Central University Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kerala, Tripura University)
• B.Sc. (Hons.)/ B.Sc. under 10+2+3 pattern, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of B.Sc. Course). The subject in which admission is sought must be Hons. subject at B.Sc. (Hons.) level/a subject studied in all three years at the Graduate level. For admission to the M.Sc. in Botany, a candidate must also have offered Chemistry as one of the subjects at the Graduate level. (For Banaras Hindu University).
• Bachelor's Degree in Botany/ Biological Sciences/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Environmental Sciences/ Microbiology/ Genetics/ Applied Life Sciences/ Bioscience/ Bio-Physics (Three Years courses after 10+2)/ Agricultural Science/ Life Science from a recognised University
  OR
  B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany from the University of Delhi 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS category. 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for
  candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD category. (For University of Delhi)

Chemistry: A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors/UG degree with Chemistry for MSc (Chemistry) from a recognised University or an equivalent examination.

B.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate of Science subjects with Chemistry as one of the subjects, preferably in combination with Physics and Mathematics. (For University of Hyderabad)

Bachelor’s degree (with Chemistry as one of the subjects) under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with 55% marks in the aggregate (or in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics combined), or in Chemistry Honours. (For Jawahar Lal Nehru University)

• (i) Any science graduate under 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and having Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Psychology, Computer Science, Statistics, Forensic Science, Geography, Geophysics and Geology as the main subject (combination of at least three of the subjects) at the Under Graduate level. OR
  (ii) Any graduate having MBBS /BDS /B.Tech. /B.E. /B.Pharm. degree securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate (For Banaras Hindu University)
• Bachelor's Degree in Sciences from a recognised University. 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS category and 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD category. (For University of Delhi)

• Hons. in Geology at B.Sc. Level/Bachelor's degree with Geology as the main subject with 50% marks
  {45% in case of SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD} in the aggregate in Science subjects from a recognized
  Indian or foreign University.
• B.Sc. (Hons.)/ B.Sc. under 10+2+3 pattern, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of B.Sc. Course). Geology must be Hons. subject at B.Sc. (Hons.) level/a subject studied in all three parts at the Graduate level. (For BHU)

• Horticulture: B.Sc. in Agriculture / Horticulture / Forestry with 45-55 % marks.
• Forestry: 3/4 years graduation degree in Forestry with 45% marks for GEN/OBC/EWS and 40% for SC/ST category.
• Agronomy/Plant Breeding/Genetics: Pass in B.Sc. (Hons.)Agriculture/B.Sc + MBA
  Agriculture. Obtained at least 48% Marks for all categories.
• Horticulture Fruit Science: B.Sc. (Agri/ Allied Stream) or eq.

Biotechnology: B.Sc. (Hons.) or B.Sc. in Botany/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Zoology from a recognised Indian or foreign University with 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PWD).

Biological Sciences: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Allied Disciplines with a Minimum of 50% Marks (5% relaxation for reserved category candidates) 

Microbiology: B.Sc. (Hons.) or B.Sc. in Botany/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/
Zoology or B.Voc. in Biomedical Sciences/ Industrial Waste Management with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (Relaxation of 5% to the SC/ST/PWD/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer candidates).

Biochemistry: B.Sc. (Hons.) /B.Sc. in Botany/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Chemistry or B.Voc. in Biomedical Sciences with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (Relaxation of 5% to the SC/ST/PWD/ OBC (NonCreamy Layer) candidates).

Life Sciences: B.Sc. from a recognised university under the +3 system with Honors. Or Major or one subject in all 3 years of study in Zoology/ Botany/ Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Life Sciences/ Biosciences/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Genetics/ Agricultural Sciences/Plant Sciences/ Animal Sciences with minimum 55% marks for General Category and 50% for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ PWD or equivalent.

Human Genetics: Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences/M.B.B.S. or B.D.S. with 50% marks
{45% in case of SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD} from a recognised Indian or foreign University.

Plant Molecular Biology: B.Sc.(Majors) Botany /Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology /Chemistry (with Botany/Zoology/ Chemistry /Biochemistry as one of the papers).

• MPT-Orthopedics/ Neurology/ Sports/ Cardiopulmonary: Passed with 50% Marks For All categories
  aggregate in BPT or equivalent.
• MPT with specialization in Musculoskeletal/ cardiopulmonary/Sports/ Neurology: 55% marks in aggregate in Bachelor of Physiotherapy from a recognized University.
• Physiotherapy: BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)

• Physics: B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics from any recognised Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with 50% or above marks or equivalent grade in aggregate. OR Graduation in any branch of Science or Engineering with Physics and Mathematics as two of the Subjects of study with 55% or above marks or equivalent grade in aggregate (Relaxation of 5% to the SC/ST/PWD/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates).
• Computational Physics: Bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics and
  Mathematics is the main subject with 50% marks {45% in case of SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD} in
  aggregate from a recognised Indian or foreign University.
• Computational and Integrative Sciences: A minimum of 55% marks in a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering/ Computer Sciences or related allied areas. (All OBC category (non-creamy layer) candidates are eligible to 10% relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination in relation to the open category. The SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates who have passed the qualifying examination, irrespective of their percentage of
  Marks are eligible to appear in the Entrance Examination.)
• Electronics: B. Sc. in Mathematics, B. Sc. in Physics, B. Sc. in Electronics, B. Sc. in Computer Sciences, B. Sc. in Information Technology and other allied subjects.
• Applied Physics: Any branch of B.Sc/B.Tech/BCA/MBBS. Minimum 60% in the qualifying examination. Relaxation in marks to reserved candidates as per University norms.

Passed 4-year B.Sc.(Ag)/B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag.. from a recognised University. Secured at least 6.0/10 or 2.5/4, 3.5/5, 4.0/6 OGPA for general category candidates and 2.0/4, 3.0/5, 3.5/6 and 5.5/10 OGPA for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category candidates under the Course Credit System in qualifying examination, as per
University guidelines and has not secured more than one III-division or equivalent OGPA in his/her academic career (For BHU)
