IAT Admission 2027

IISER 2027: The authority will launch the IAT admission 2027 website in February 2027, tentatively. Candidates who wish to get admission to the BS /BS-MS /B.Tech programs at IISER will have to apply online. The admission will be based on the IISER entrance examination. Candidates must fill out and submit the IISER application to appear for the admission test. The authority is expected to conduct the IISER  2027 exam in June 2027.

What is IISER Aptitude Test (IAT)?

IISER Aptitude Test is an entrance exam for admission to 4-year BS / five year BS-MS dual degree programs. The entrance test is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) on a rotational basis. Last year, IISER Berhampur conducted the IISER Aptitude Test. Candidates who have passed 10+2 from a recognized board are eligible to appear for the test. They will have to apply online for the test. Admission will be based on IISER rank, candidates' preference, seat availability, and category. IISER qualifying candidates have to participate in the online counselling process for the course and institute allotment.

IISER 2027 Eligibility Criteria

• The applying candidate must be Indian, OCI/PIO/Foreign National.

Education Qualification:

• Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board in 2025, 2026, & 2027. 
• have studied atleast three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics in Class 12. 
• Have secured 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate.

IISER 2027 Exam Syllabus

IISER 2027 Exam Pattern

The authority will release the IISER exam pattern online. Candidates can check the IAT exam pattern to understand the question paper structure. IISER exam pattern consists of marking scheme, mode of exam, duration of test, types of questions, and more. IAT question paper will comprise 180 questions. The question paper will have four sections. Each section will have 15 questions. Every correct answer has 4 marks. Negative marking is done for wrong answers.
