CUET UG 2026 Subjects

NTA offers 13 languages, 23 CUET domain subjects, and General Aptitude Test through CUET UG. Candidates seeking admission to CUET participating universities can select up to five subjects based on the CUET eligibility criteria of their target university for their desired UG programme.

  • Domain Subjects: Accountancy/Book Keeping, Agriculture, Anthropology, Biology/Biological Studies/Biotechnology/Biochemistry, Business Studies, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, Economics/Business Economics, Fine Arts/Visual Arts(Sculpture/Painting)/ Commercial Art, Geography/ Geology, History, Home Science, Knowledge Tradition Practices in India, Mass Media/Mass Communication, Mathematics / Applied Mathematics, Performing Arts, Physical Education/National Cadet Corps(NCC)/ Yoga, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, and Sociology.

Q:   How many subjects can I choose for the CUET exam?
A: 

From CUET UG 2026 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th. 

Q:   Are there any penalties for not following the CUET subject mapping correctly?
A: 

Yes, candidates who do not fulfill the subject mapping and eligibility criteria for a UG course at the applied university may face disqualification during the admission process. It means that, even if a candidate scores well in the CUET UG exam but do not meet the subject combination requirements of the target CUET college, their application will be rejected.

Q:   How do I apply for a college which requires CUET percentage even though am yet to give CUET?
A: 

Candidates can apply for CUET score accepting colleges through CUET UG 2026 application form. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to enter the name of the preffered universities and courses in order of preference. On declaration of the CUET results, the scores will be shared with the universities for which candidate has applied. Basis on the score obtained candidate will be shortlisted for the applied course.

A: 

The subject mapping criteria consists of course-wise subjects required to be filled in the online form. CUET 2027 exam will likely be held in two slots. As per last year's exam timings, the first slot is held between 9 AM and 12 PM and the second slot between 3 PM and 6 PM. Candidates will be able to check the exact subject-wise timings on their admit card.

 No, a pure PCB student cannot pursue a BCA at IIPS,DAVV because Mathematics is a strictly mandatory eligibility requirement.
To major in Computer Applications at this institution, you must have passed your 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a core subject.

No, CUET is not required to get admission in BSc at Dayananda Sagar University. Admission is offered on merit basis. However, caniddates with valid scores of CUET, KCET or DSAT are taken into consideration for admission.
