
The National Testing Agency is an exam-conducting body for the CUET PG exam. The NTA neither conduct the Counselling nor releases any cutoff. The CUET Cutoffs are released for all the categories and courses by the participating universities only. The candidates who filled the desired university's Counselling registration form will get the round-wise and category-wise cutoff.

What is CUET PG Cut Off ?
The CUET PG cutoff is the minimum marks/rank/Percentile required to get admission to the applied course. The participating institutions prepare their own merit list of qualified candidates for each course (based on the applications received). For each round of CUET PG Counselling, they call a certain number of candidates and the marks/rank/percentile of the last candidate is termed as the Cutoff for that round.
Also, CUET PG admission cutoff will vary for each course and category. Candidates will be offered admission to the Central University, state university and other participating institutes based on the CUET PG 2026 cutoff.  In general, students should keep this in mind cutoff of Delhi University, BHU, JNU, etc. is generally high as compared to the other CUET PG participating institutes.Â
CUET PG cutoff marks differs year to year as it depends upon a set of factors given below:
- Difficulty of the CUET PG 2026 Examination
- Number of seats available for a particular course
- Category of the candidate
- Number of candidates appeared in exam

CUET PG 2026 Passing Marks
CUET PG Passing Marks 2026 will be the minimum marks required to pass the examination. They indicate that a candidate has achieved a basic level of competency. In the CUET PG marksheet, NTA does not mention the pass marks or the category-wise cutoff marks.

How to Check CUET PG Cutoff 2026
The candidate who cleared the CUET PG exam are eligible to proceed to the Counselling, but to get admission, their score needs to be greater than the CUET PG participating Universities' cutoff (of a particular category).
CUET PG Subject Wise Expected Cutoff 2026
CUET PG 2026 cutoff will vary from university to university. The CUET PG 2026 participating institutes will release their subject-wise CUET PG 2026 cutoff on the official website after the declaration of the results. Based on the seat remaining vacant from the first cutoff, institutes will also release the second cutoff list. Candidates can check the subject-wise expected CUET PG cutoff here.

The exam pattern of CUET PG is such that, these 100 MCQ questions will be divided in two sections. Section will consist of 25 questions on Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability and Section B will consist of 75 domain-specific questions. While making the merit list of CUET PG courses by JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University), they doesnot include the section A marks scored by the candidates. Therefore the final marks out which the CUET PG 2023 merist list is made are 300 marks.
CUET PG 2026 is a nation-level exam conducted for admissions to the master's degree and professional degree courses for around 200 participating universities. NTA, the exam conducting body, conducts the exam every year, and the role of NTA is till the declaration of results. The exam officials don't release any specific CUET PG cut-offs.
CUET PG cut-off 2026 will be released by the participating universities individually, depending upon the number of registrations made by the candidates and the availability of seats.
Since the CUET PG 2026 results and university-wise cutoffs are yet to be released. Based on the input taken by the candidates on the CUET PG exam difficulty level, candidates can check out the expected cut-off below:

Around 4 lakh candidates are expected to appear for CUET PG 2026 examinations to get admissions in the 157 subjects offered in master's degree and professional degree courses. In case the number of candidates and the difficulty level are lower than last year, the cutoff of CUET PG will be higher and vice versa.

CUET PG Passing Marks are the scores or marks to be obtained to qualify for admission to the universities. If the candidate wants to know whether they have passed the CUET PG exam or not, they are required to check the cutoff marks released by the participating universities and colleges. After the declaration of the CUET PG result, all participating universities will release the course-wise passing marks or CUET PG cutoff, which will be used for shortlisting candidates for the counselling process.
The National Testing Agency released the CUET PG 2026 notification on December 14, 2025. However, there has not been any change in terms of exam pattern, syllabus or application process. The total number of exam cities has decreased.
Since there is a change in the exam pattern of the CUET PG exam. Now the total marks for which the exam will be conducted has 300 marks as the total number of questions will be 75.
