Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University BTech is offered across multiple specialisations. These are offered through the affiliated colleges as well. AKTU scholarships are offered to meritorious students belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC category under the regulations of the UP State Scholarship scheme. Every year, UP State releases a notification for fee reimbursement for the students of AKTU and its affiliated colleges.

AKTU provides lateral entry admissions to its BTech course through CUET UG. Through lateral entry, candidates are admitted directy to the second year of BTech. Candidates with a valid CUET UG score can apply for the counselling process if they fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria:
- A 3/4-year Diploma with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) aggregate from an institution recognised by the UP Board of Technical Education (BTEUP) in any stream of Engineering (except Agriculture Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture), OR
- A BSc degree from a recognised university as defined by UGC, with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) and Class 12 with Mathematics as a subject (will be allotted if seats remain vacant after Diploma holders), OR
- A pass in the DVoc stream in the same or allied sector from an institution recognised by
BTEUP or equivalent

Yes, AKTU admission to BTech course is done through JEE Main. The university accepts JEE Main score of the candidates followed by UPTAC Counselling. In 2022, the JEE Main closing rank for AKTU CSE course was 44,084 indicating easy selection process in some of the AKTU affiliated colleges. The highest closing rank was for Biotechnology-21,856. No, Faculty of Architecture and Planning AKTU does have an offline mode of application with the only mode to apply being online. Students are able to apply through the institute page as long as they complete the eligibility as set by the institute.
