BHU MBA Highlights 2026
BHU MBA course of two-year is offered in a full-time mode. The university offers MBA and MBA in International Business (MBA-IB) courses through its Institute of Management Studies. There are different courses under the special courses of study as well. BHU MBA course admission is based on merit in CAT exam. Shortlisted candidates are then called for the GD & PI round and counselling. After final selection, candidates have to pay the BHU MBA fees.
The PG course is available at the BHU-affliated colleges as well. Final merit list for Banaras Hindu University MBA admission is prepared based on following criteria and weightage:

No, CAT is not necessary for MBA at BHU. The university offers a two-year full-time MBA course at the postgraduate level. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the University (bhu.ac.in) to apply online. BHU MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in the CAT entrance test. BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually jeld in March whereas, CUET-UG takes place in May. The university offer admission based on entrance scores. BHU MBA admission starts with form filling and the last stage is the fee payment after seat allocation. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling the application. The steps for BHU admisssion to get a seat in MBA courses:
STEP 1: CAT Application Process
Candidates can apply online at www.bhuonline.in. The general candidates need to pay application fee of INR 2,000 and INR 1,000 for SC/ST students. To register for CAT, the steps are:
- Open CAT website iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on 'Register' under 'New Candidate Registration' tab.
- Enter details.
- Click 'Generate OTP' tab.
- On successful registration, an OTP will be sent to registered mobile number.
- Verify CAT registration by entering OTP in given field.

BHU MBA Application Process
After the CAT results are out, candidates have to visit to the official BHU website and register for the counselling process. The university shortlists students on the entrance cutoff for the next rounds of selection process.

STEP 2: Group Discussion & Personal Interview
Applicants shortlisted based on CAT score are called for GDPI. The schedule for GDPI is released by the admission committee. Moreover, candidates not appearing for the GD or PI on the scheduled date will be disqualified from the admission process.
STEP 3: Admission Counselling
Candidates selected are called for a counselling round. Candidates appearing for counselling must bring the original documents. When provisional admission is offered to a candidate, the original documents will be detained by the institute and will be returned after the admission formalities.

BHU accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to several UG courses. Candidates seeking admission to BHU must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below:
- The BHU application process is conducted in online mode through the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
- Candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website of CUET 2025 and clicking on 'Download CUET Admit Card'.
- After the declaration of the CUET result, students seeking admission to BHU UG courses are required to apply online for CUET-UG Counselling on the BHU UG admission portal.
- Further, candidates are required to participate in an online counselling process for provisional admission to the course (s). After that, the final seat allotment will be done by BHU.
If any candidate is unable to receive the OTP, they should try resending or reloading the sent OTP. Wait for atleast 15-20 minutes or change the current netword settings. If this does not fix the problem of OTP not getting loaded, try using a different Email Id or phone no.
