BHU MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
BHU MBA course of two-year is offered in a full-time mode. The university offers MBA and MBA in International Business (MBA-IB) courses through its Institute of Management Studies. There are different courses under the special courses of study as well. BHU MBA course admission is based on merit in CAT exam. Shortlisted candidates are then called for the GDPI round and counselling.
The PG course is available at the BHU-affliated colleges as well. The final merit list for Banaras Hindu University MBA admission is prepared based on the following criteria and weightage:

No, CAT is not necessary for MBA at BHU. The university offers a two-year full-time MBA course at the postgraduate level. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the University (bhu.ac.in) to apply online. BHU MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in the CAT entrance test. The final selection is based on the student's performance in the GD & PI rounds. However, for admission to the MBA special courses of study, candidates can get admission with a valid CUET-PG score. Candidates can apply online at www.bhuonline.in. The general candidates need to pay application fee of INR 2,000 and INR 1,000 for SC/ST students. To register for CAT, the steps are:
1. Open the CAT website iimcat.ac.in.
2. Click on 'Register' under the 'New Candidate Registration' tab.
3. Enter asked details.
4. Click on the 'Generate OTP' tab.
5. On successful registration, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number.
6. Verify CAT registration by entering the OTP in the given field.

BHU MBA CUET PG Application Process
- Visit the official website cucet.nta.nic.in and click on the 'New Registration' tab. Read the instructions carefully.
- Fill out the application form with all the mandatory details, such as personal and educational qualifications, etc.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.
- Select courses and Universities as per your preference and pay the CUET application fee as mentioned above.
NOTE: Aspirants seeking admission to IMS, BHU need to pay an application fee of INR 2,000.
2. Group Discussion & Personal Interview
Applicants shortlisted based on CAT score are called for GDPI. The schedule for GDPI is released by the admission committee. Moreover, candidates not appearing for the GD or PI on the scheduled date will be disqualified from the admission process.
3. Admission Counselling
Candidates selected are called for a counselling round. Candidates appearing for counselling must bring the original documents. When provisional admission is offered to a candidate, the original documents will be detained by the institute and will be returned after the admission formalities.

BHU MBA admission start with the release of the application form. Apart from CAT application form, aspirants have to apply on BHU IMS admission portal as well. CAT registration 2023 have closed and the exam is scheduled for Nov 26. Moreover, MBA and MBA IB application process 2024 has started at IMS, BHU. The application form was released on Oct 5 and the last date to apply is Jan 3, 2024.
Candidates must carry the important documents with them at the time of GD & PI. These documents are verified by the authorities. The documents required at the time of BHU MBA GD & PI are:
- Photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card / PAN) with a self-attested copy of the respective document)
- Self-attested copy of the CAT Scorecard
- Self-attested copies of Mark-sheets of Class 10, Class 12
