BHU Courses & Fees 2026: UG, PG, Doctorate, Certificate Courses

BHU placements are good. The highest and average packages secured by MBA students in 2025 were INR 19.8 LPA and INR 10.1 LPA, respectively. Median salary stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The university has not yet released the placement data 2026 for other courses. During the placement drive 2025, a total of 177 placement drives were held, and more than 950 students were placed.

BHU has a dediacted placement cell which invites prominent companies for the placement drives. During the Banaras Hindu University 2025 placement drive, more than 65 companies participated. Some of the eminent recruiters during the 2025 placements included Cognizant, Genpact, Adani Wilmar, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, KPMG, etc.

The complete five-year integrated law programme involves a total expenditure of INR 3.86 Lakhs. This complete amount includes the core academic tuition fee of INR 3.62 Lakhs for ten semesters. Students can deposit this multi-component fee online through the official university payment gateway to lock their BHU BA LLB seats.

MBA at BHU is worth it for candidates who prioritise Return on Investment (ROI). IMS BHU offers an MBA at a fairly affordable tuition fee of INR 1.2 lakh. As per the latest placement data for the batch of 2026, the median salary for MBA students stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The average package was INR 10.1 LPA. The score required to take admission at BHU depends on the category you belong to and the course chosen. For the General AI category, the round 3 cutoff ranged from 6 to 260 for different PG-level programmes as per the CUET PG cutoff 2026. So, yes, General AI category students can get admission to this institute with a score of 20.

BHU cutoff 2025 was released for multiple specialisations. Based on the last round cutoff, the closing ranks varied between 1489 and 14447 for the General AI quota. So, if you belong to the General category, you must target a JEE Advanced cutoff rank of up to 14447 or below to secure a seat at IIT BHU for BTech admission. For top branches like CSE and Mathematics and Computing, the maximum required cutoff ranks for admission were 1489 and 1924 in the last round.

The minimum CUET scores required for BHU admission would differ based on category, course and rounds. For the General AI category, the minimum score accepted in the first round was 73.

The only platform of paying the CUET PG application fee is via online mode. So far, the examination conducting body has not mentioned about paying the application fee offline.

The online way of paying the application fee of CUET PG examination is through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI Services. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator. The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will be generated only after successful payment by the
Candidate. 

No, the standard BHU MBA course fees do not include campus hostel or mess charges. Students must pay for residential accommodation separately after securing a room allocation. These living expenses generally range between INR 4,875 and INR 5,375 per year. Food costs are handled independently through localized mess advances.

According to the NIRF 2024 rankings, JNU is ranked second and BHU is ranked at fifth position. As per an unofficial source, the seat intake is higher at JNU for MCA, however, candidates have a higher chance of getting admission.

BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the 4th round for different All India quota categories for the UG-level courses. The round 4 cutoff ranged from 53 to 145 for the General AI category. For MBBS in BHU, students shall have secured at least 50 percentile if belonging to the General category, 45 for physically handicapped General candidates, and 40 for the SC/ST/OBC category students. Yes, Banaras Hindu University accept CUET score for multiple UG courses, including BA (Hons), BCom (Hons) BSc (Hons), etc. The university is also offering admission to its PG courses based on merit in CUET-PG. Aspirants who meet the eligibility requirements can register on the BHU admission portal for counselling. The admission is done in order of merit based on the normalised score of the CUET (PG) and reservation policy as per the provisions laid down in the BHU PET Information Brochure.
