CUSAT Highlights 2025
CUSAT was established in 1971 and re-accredited with NAAC 'A" Grade. The university ranked 32 under the University category by NIRF ranking, 7 under the Overall category by India Today and 26 under the Overall category by Outlook. The University has three campuses along with 28 departments, and 20 centres. CUSAT courses include UG, PG, and doctoral-level programmes in the fields of Applied Sciences, Commerce, Management, Technology, and Social Sciences. MBA, BTech and BSc are the flagship courses of the university.

Cochin University of Science and Technology selects candidates for admission to most of the programme based on their scores in CUSAT CAT. Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test is a computer-based test conducted for shortlisting aspirants for admission to various courses. Besides, the university also considers score in national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT, KMAT, GATE, etc. for specific courses. Selected candidates need to participate in counselling and seat allotment process. Further, they need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat.
CAT is one of the accepting exams for CUSAT MBA admission. There are two types of CAT accepted for MBA. One is CAT conducted by conducted by IIM for admission to MBA programme. Aspirants need to fill out the online form (admission.cusat.ac.in) and submit it for being eligible to take admission. However, the seat allotment for each M.Tech programme shall be on the applicant’s GATE score. The library is open on all working days from 9 am to 8 pm, with issue and return up to 7 pm. On all second Saturdays and Sundays not forming part of public holidays, working hours are fixed as 10 am- 4 pm, with issue and return up to 3 pm. MBA is one of the popular courses of CUSAT. Cochin University is ranked 41 among the top universities in the country as per NIRF 2022 rankings.
