Q:   What is the last date for DU admission 2026?
    A:

Delhi University admission 2026 is open now. The last date to apply for DU PG courses is Jun 7, 2026. For the UG courses, students have to apply through CSAS counselling after CUET results are declared. The last date is tentatively scheduled for July 2026.

Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q:   Does DU provide good placements?

The best placement and infrastructure are present in our university.
Placements: Most of the students of our university got job offers from this department. The highest package goes to Rs. 50,000 per month, and the average was Rs. 30,000. Top role offered were health psychologist, developmental psychologist, clinical psychologist, and counselling psychologist. So in my opinion, this was one of the best course in our university which grow your future.
Infrastructure: We had a beautiful infrastructure in our college. The campus was mostly green. Classrooms were properly decorated. We had a huge library where all types of books were available. The library was open for 24 hours. Our mess food quality was average, canteen was not very clean.
Faculty: All teachers were well qualified. Most of them were understanding and very kind to students. They always solved student problems. Student teachers' bond in our university was so strong. Their teaching method was too good, all students easily understood every lecture.

Review of Sanskrit department at Delhi University (DU).
Placements: The average salary package of our college in M.A. in Sanskrit is 3.5 LPA. Students of M.A. in Sanskrit pass out from our college and get jobs as Sanskrit teachers, lecturers online, transcripts, Sanskrit typists, home tutors, etc. Students also get jobs in many schools like DPS, Vidya Bal Bhawan Public School, Bharati Vidya Bhavan, etc.
Infrastructure: Multiple facilities are provided by our college to students. Smart classrooms and labs with advanced equipment are available in our college. There is also a Wi-Fi facility at our whole college campus. Every year annual sports function is held by the sports committee in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are very good and highly knowledgeable. The teaching skills of our teachers are very simple and easily understandable. The semester system is well-divided so that each student can score good marks in exams. The pass percentage is around 88%.

Good place to have a valuable degree with nice college life experience.
Placements: This course doesn't have placement through Delhi university. I think there should be placement by college so student will worry less about 'what to do next? '. But as it is not a private university, or my course has limited placement sectors where you need to clearify competitive exams to have a job, so there isn't such thing as college placement.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very spacious. Every classroom has sitting arrangement for around 100-150 or more students. Satyakam bhavan even has air conditioning classrooms and those totally look one from any college based movie. There are many canteens but they are closed from a long time now. There's just 1 very small and not so good canteen at a very hidden corner.
Faculty: Faculty is really supportive of Sanskrit department, even I borrowed books from teachers for some time, and they trusted me for that. One of my fellow asked notes just before exams, and teacher gave her every note, pdf, books he could find at that time. It took him maybe an hour long to search and send everything, but he did it, even for 1 student.

The experience was worth. A lot of focus on imparting practical knowledge to the students.
Placements: There were about 90 students in the course. The highest package available was 11 L. P. A while the lowest was 4.5 L. P. A and the average package offered was 5.5 L. P. A. The top recruiting companies were EXL etc. Almost 50 percent of the students were into internship and the roles offered are usually of an analyst.
Infrastructure: The whole department had all the facilities available which a central university should have. There was Wi-Fi available. Students had the access to many libraries like department and central. The department was fully air conditioned. But for the hostels only few students got them.
Faculty: Faculty was very helpful, qualified, knowledgeable and experienced too. Everything they taught was kept with the fact that they are imparting practical knowledge to the students. As for the curriculum it needs a bit of the upgradation as there are many languages which are now demanded.

    Absolutely satisfied study pattern.
Placements: Fewer percentage of students were placed from Delhi university North campus from M.A. psychology department. The highest salary was 50k, average was 30k and the lowest was 10-15k. Roles offered as clinical psychologist, counseling psychologist, health psychologist, developmental psychologist.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is beautiful, greenery is all over. Wi-Fi is there but it takes years to get the password it's such a long process. Library is huge and have almost every kind of book plus it is open 24 hour. Food in mess is not so good as the canteen is not clean.
Faculty: Some teachers are very understanding and we share a great bond and it's so easy to work with them but few teachers are so hard to deal they are so strict not at all understanding. All the teachers are helpful though. They help in our practical n stuff.

Satisfied with the department and faculty. Professors are the best and opportunities are great.
Placements: Various students from the department of linguistics were placed at reputed locations and companies. Most of our seniors and classmates have qualified JRF/NET, and many of them are serving at the British Council and Macmillan. Some of them are working in news channels and media agencies, while some are IELTS trainers as well. A few are working in Central Institute of Indian Languages involving in research activities. I have completed my training from CIIL in translation studies and would like to see my future in book publishing as a proofreader and translator.
Infrastructure: Our department has all the facilities like air-conditioned classrooms, projectors, department library, Wi-Fi, digital whiteboard and many others. We have medical facilities, and there are lab sessions conducted for psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and neurolinguistics. The canteen serves us really nice food. The food offered is of high quality, and the price is very low. The hostel is the best. Everything is just perfect if we talk about DU, be it education, exploration or infrastructure. They provide all the facilities throughout our course.
Faculty: Teachers in the college are very much qualified, and all of them have completed their PhDs from abroad. The quality of teaching is the best. Teachers use handouts and projectors for interactive sessions. We have various seminars and fieldwork sessions to learn while having fun. I got to learn a lot from DU and especially our department, and that helped me write a book and become an author. We have 52 seats, and all are filled.
Other: Various fests and events are conducted to facilitate talent and learning habits. The campus surroundings are beautiful. You won't feel like leaving the campus once you visit here. All the facilities are available here. Arts faculty department has a central library and is open 24x7.

Yes,   for CUET B.Ed (DU), the most reliable preparation resources are a mix of standard CUET books (Arihant, Oswaal, Physics Wallah), free online study material (EduRev, SelfStudys), and previous year papers. These cover English, General Test, Teaching Aptitude, and subject‑specific sections.
