On Fees and Eligibility
Q:   Can I get DTU with 80 percentile in JEE Main via JAC Delhi?
A:
Usually, the cutoff for DTU stays around 90, even for the reserved categories. Therefore, getting into B.Tech courses at DTU is difficult with a JEE Main percentile score of 90 or below. The cutoff also goes high and low every year, depending on the following factors: Number of aspirants registered, The difficulty level of the exam, Total number of seats available, total number of applications received for a particular program, and the category under which admission is sought. Therefore, it is very difficult to predict the exact cutoff and give an exact answer to this question.
Q:   Which entrance exam is accepted by DTU?
A:

No, DTU does not conduct any entrance exam of its own for admission to any of the UG, PG or doctoral-level courses. Admission for the flagship BTech programme is based on JEE Main scores and the entire process of counselling are conducted by JAC Delhi. Further, DTU admission to all the remaining courses is mostly based on national/ university-level entrance exams, such as UCEED,  GATE,  CAT,  MAT and CMAT, among others. However, there are a few MBA specialised courses and BBA, admission to which is offered based on the past qualifying exam  (UG level) followed by an interview round.

Q:   Can I get into DTU without giving JEE?
A:

No, candidates cannot get admission to DTU without appearing for JEE Main as the DTU BTech counselling is done through JAC Delhi. The basic criteria for admission to BTech is appearing for JEE Mains. To get into DTU, candidates must score decent marks or at least around 220 or above marks in JEE Mains. The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. In order to do this, candidates must complete a Polytechnic course of two years and then appear for an entrance exam (not JEE Main but this exam will give you entry in DTU's second year.

Come to this college if you want a good college life with fests, campus, and explore new things.
Placements: According to 2024 data, approximately 60% of students got placed through the B.Tech Environment branch. The highest package is 26 LPA, and the average package is 10 LPA. Approximately 40% of students get internships. Most of the roles provided by companies are non-tech, like consultant and corporate roles.
Infrastructure: I am a day scholar, but I visited my friend's hostel, and I can say it is not that bad and not that good; it is okayish. It is a room for two people, and one time I ate the mess food, which is average. Sports facilities are good in our college. Labs are not that good, but classrooms are good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and every concept they teach is understandable. I would say the teaching quality is average, not that good. The course curriculum they teach is relevant. The semester exams are not very hard, and most of the questions come from past year papers. The pass percentage is also good.
Other: I chose this course because I want to do something new. I do not have interest in the teaching field. One thing to improve in my field is to enhance core opportunities.

The college is one of the best, second only to IIT Delhi.
Placements: Companies like Google, Microsoft, and MediaCare visit for the requirements of the country. Infosys and Infotech also come, along with several foreign companies, for student recruitment as it is a technical university. Many students in the IT and CA sectors are skilled.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are fully equipped with Wi-Fi, and hostel facilities are available. The mess provides food of very good quality. Rooms are available for students as two-seater, three-seater, and four-seater, allowing many students to live peacefully and study.
Faculty: Teachers are skilled, helpful, and kind in nature. They all have a Master’s degree in their courses. They conduct many workshops and events in the college. Semester exams are held twice a year, with questions based on the syllabus.
Other: In my course, many skilled students come from different states to study in Delhi. They join the college through the Delhi counselling. Where students with higher ranks are allotted seats.

It was number one in Asia around 2000.
Placements: Generally, 65-75% of the students get placed. The highest package now is 23.5 LPA, the average is 13 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. For our course, Maruti Suzuki is the top recruiting company. Generally, the internship rate is low, i.e., 25-40%. The top roles are data analyst and business analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, but the speed is very low. The labs are good, but they were constructed a long time ago, and the classrooms are also old. The library is good, all facilities are there. The facilities are good, and the hostels are decent. The sports complex is very big, it has its own cricket ground, football ground, and an indoor playing area.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers have done Ph.D. from very reputable universities, and they are very knowledgeable and have done a good amount of research work. The difficulty level is between medium and hard, and the passing percentage is 35%.

Best tech college in Delhi.
Placements: I am seeing a good placement percentage and package for the IT branch in 2025-26. 38 percent placement is done. Average package is around 27 LPA rupees which is very nice, with the highest domestic going to around 80 LPA - 85 LPA. Big companies like Google, Amazon, TCS, and Wipro all conduct hiring from our branch. Both tech roles and non-tech roles are offered to our seniors. Internship percentage is also very good.
Infrastructure: Labs are very well-maintained and new. Wi-Fi is there but signal never comes so one needs to have their connection in mobile for using internet. Classrooms in the department are also very nice with comfortable cushioned seats and proper AC and lighting. I am a day scholar so I don't have much information to share about hostels. Canteens are good. Food is available at reasonable prices and quality is also nice. Students are always there in the canteens.
Faculty: Teachers are nice. They teach very well and define their degrees. They are well qualified and have Ph.D. degrees. Some of them have published a research paper. Talking about the course curriculum, in first year it looks irrelevant as we have EE and ECE, maths and physics as core subjects, but further it is very well oriented with industry. We have options to choose various specialisation courses in other years.
Other: I had an interest in tech so I chose IT. Best things about my course are that faculty is very young and interactive, placement percentage is the highest among all tech branches, and curriculum gives wide knowledge about the tech. I would wish that from the first sem we should have taught maths as our core courses, and circuit subjects are irrelevant. Events, fest, and campus crowd are all nice, fun, and sort of activities. Sports and societies are there to join. Scholarship to low-income students is also given. Campus surroundings are not much.

This is a government college better than private college .
Placements: I passed out in the Corona batch. The placements were very average. Only two to three companies like TCS, Cognizant, Amazon etc. Hire through online interviews and by detecting the skills of the students. The highest package offered was 4.2LPA and the lowest package offered was 3.5LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good. Wi-Fi all over the campus with CCTV security. There were different playgrounds like a volleyball court a badminton court a cricket ground etc. Library was good all types of technology books were available. Labs were spacious and had all the apparatus used in industry. Classrooms were spacious and digitally updated. Hostels had good food was average.
Faculty: Faculty members were good. They were highly aware of what the students want. They were highly educated and experienced. The course curriculum was good, it makes us ready to go to the industry. There were two semesters in a year and each semester has two sessions. Questions were of a moderate level.

Good university, amazing placements.
Placements: Around 85% are placed, the highest package is around 85 LPA and the average is around 18–19 LPA. Top recruiters are Apple, Google, and Microsoft. Not aware of the exact internship percentage, but it is similar to the placement percentage. IT roles are offered similar roles to Computer Science, and often similar packages.
Infrastructure: Good Wi-Fi is available. Rooms are also clean, and the mess is very close by. A pool table, treadmill, and some weights are available. There is a study room in the hostel. A library is also available to study in. Wi-Fi is also available there. The labs for Python, etc., are good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful. If you express doubts, they’re willing to help. It does from the 2nd semester onwards, we only have Mathematics and Computing-related subjects, so that is good. Semester exams are manageable if you study. Pass percentage is high, like 90%.
Other: I am interested in mathematics but would like to have a computing touch as well. I think we get high exposure and also understand the background information of computers. I think that within the 1st semester, we should have a few more courses to do with MnC. Events and fests are top-notch, and the crowd is good.

Yes, you qualify for DTU if you received a 60% in your 12th grade.

However, admission is primarily determined by your JEE Main rank rather than your grades.

You have to attend JAC Delhi counseling after JEE.

Therefore, you can get DTU CSE/IT if your JEE score is high.
