B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing Engineering - Batch of 2029

Chill campus life and great placements.
Placements: I am pursuing B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing Engineering (MnC) from DTU. Since it is one of the tech branches, the placement states are pretty good. All the tech branches here have more or less the same placement states. Talking about my department in particular, the official placement data of the year 2024 placed students 82.89%. The highest package offered was 85.30 LPA. The average package offered was 18.90 LPA while the overall average of the B.Tech course, including all the branches, was 15.45 LPA. Some top recruiters are Microsoft, Atlassian, Sandisk, Accenture, etc.
Infrastructure: If I talk about the overall infrastructure of the campus, then it is probably one of the best things here. The classrooms are equipped with all of the facilities, including centralised A/C and projectors. The library is also very well built and provides a very peaceful environment to work. High-speed internet is also available in the library. Although the girls' hostels are newly built and have a well-made modern infrastructure. The boys' hostels, on the other hand, are really very bad and congested. Hostel availability is also very limited here.
Faculty: The quality of faculty varies department to department. My personal experience with faculty members has been pretty decent. The lectures are not that helpful, in the end, we have to study on our own before exams. But the faculty members are not that strict with us and assign very limited work. The labs, although, have been the most painful part of it all. Exams are not that difficult, even if you study well in the last 2 weeks before exams, you are expected to score above average marks. The overall academic life is not that hectic.
Other: One thing that I really liked about this college is the societies here. There are so many societies, and they have so many talented people there who are doing so much with them and achieving so much good. There is a society for almost every interest, and they provide a very useful exposure and learning environment.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2029

Review DTU - Delhi Technological University for the 2026 batch.
Placements: 80 percent of students get placed. The highest package is 45 LPA, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. The average package is 13 LPA. Texas Instruments company hires students from the college. 45 percent of students get internships. Non-tech, tech, and core companies visit the college to hire students. Many companies that come have a set of criteria for selecting students. CGPA is a very crucial factor, and getting a good CGPA is very important.
Infrastructure: It has the best library with many books to concentrate on studies. Windows are installed for ventilation. The library is filled with students because of the atmosphere it provides. I love the library a lot. Hostels are great too. Warden is nice. There is also a TV room.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. The course curriculum is very beneficial. Semester exams are tough, but can be cracked with one week of preparation. Faculty members are helpful, and they are kind like our parents. Hence, I like the faculty members.
Other: I chose this course because it excites me. DTU fests are the best.

I am well satisfied..It is one of the best and oldest college in Delhi with a very high alumni base.
Placements: Approximately 70 percent of students placed in my course. The highest in 2024 year is 31 LPA and in 2022 year is in crores. Teach companies also allow some students who have high CGPA. Students who are serious in studies also get internship in DRDO. All students have to do hard work, but college life is hill.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not in the first-year hostel. But students can set up Wi-Fi by mutual sharing. Otherwise, from second hostel, Wi-Fi is there. Food quality is awesome. They give non-veg too except Tuesday and Thursday. Medical facility is good. Sports and games are very nice.
Faculty: All teachers and facilities are highly qualified and well educated. They help students at every moment. Teaching quality is good. All teachers have done M. Tech, Ph.D., etc. Curriculum is very relevant and according to NEP 2020. It makes students industry ready.
Other: I chose this course according to my rank. But every branch in this college is good and has its own importance. Mechanical branch is one of the best in DTU and one of the oldest.

Fantastic college, good placement, and college life.
Placements: In my course 75 percent of students got placed. The highest package offered is 82 LPA. The lowest package is 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung, and Goldman Sachs. 20 percent of students from my course got internships in companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Adobe. Top roles offered in my course are in SDE, business analyst, and consultant.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is top-notch. Classroom, Wi-Fi, library, and sports facilities are all top-notch. The condition of the hostels allotted in the first year is not very good. But the newly constructed hostels, which are allotted to students from the 2nd year onwards, are very good. Mess food is pretty average.
Faculty: Teachers are pretty good. They are very knowledgeable. Some teachers are there who teach very well, but some are not good at teaching, even after being knowledgeable. The course curriculum is quite relevant. The fourth-year students are industry-ready. They are very good at what they are doing. Semester exams are not very difficult in our college. If any student studies regularly even for 2 to 3 hours then also he/she can get good marks. Almost all the students pass the semester exam. Only a few students, 5 to 10 percent of students, fail the exam.
Other: The college is very amazing. Top-notch placement. Top sports facilities and events. Seniors are very helpful and supportive. The college has a lot of interesting societies.

Review of DTU - Delhi Technological University.
Placements: 40% of students are placed overall, as far as I know. The highest package goes up to 84 LPA, and the lowest can be unplaced. The companies are Deloitte, Texas Instruments, and Nvidia. The internship rate is 2-3%. Roles offered are embedded engineer, software developer, data analyst, and non-tech roles such as consulting and finance.
Infrastructure: Hostels are bad. Nothing else is satisfactory. Infrastructure, food, and mess are all bad. Recently, a student dies in a hostel due to poor medical facilities, which raises concerns about the quality of medical care. Ambulances always come late, and there is a lack of ambulances. Sports facilities on campus are decent. For hostels, there are some table tennis and badminton courts.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. They are knowledgeable and decently helpful, but we are not able to use their expertise due to the outdated curriculum. Semester exams are decent, not very tough, not very easy. Checking depends a lot on the professor.
Other: There are 69 students. I chose it because it is a tier-1 college with a strong brand. More customization would be appreciated. There is no attendance policy. Events, fests, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarships, and extracurricular activities are hyped a lot, but I have yet to see them.

It offers average facilities. The college is good.
Placements: Placements are good, but decreasing every year, and it is the same for every college, except for some IITs. The average offered in my branch is 15 LPA. 60 to 70 percent is the placement ratio here. I am in the first year, so I have only this much knowledge about placements. The department is good.
Infrastructure: The college has fewer hostel facilities. I am living 130 KM away from DTU, and I still have not got a hostel. My hostel friend says the food is not good, and sometimes, they find expired items. Rooms are also not in very good condition. The 2nd year boys' and girls' hostels, which are newly built, are good.
Faculty: It charges Rs. 7,500 for one subject back. We have to score 21 from MTE and ETE. We have to score 35 from MTE, ETE, PRS, and PRE to not get a backlog. Some subjects are very tough, like electrical and electronics, in which many students fail. Some subjects are relevant, and some are not.

However, admission is primarily determined by your JEE Main rank rather than your grades.

You have to attend JAC Delhi counseling after JEE.

Therefore, you can get DTU CSE/IT if your JEE score is high.
