B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Engineering) - Batch of 2024

It was number one in Asia around 2000.
Placements: Generally, 65-75% of the students get placed. The highest package now is 23.5 LPA, the average is 13 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. For our course, Maruti Suzuki is the top recruiting company. Generally, the internship rate is low, i.e., 25-40%. The top roles are data analyst and business analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, but the speed is very low. The labs are good, but they were constructed a long time ago, and the classrooms are also old. The library is good, all facilities are there. The facilities are good, and the hostels are decent. The sports complex is very big, it has its own cricket ground, football ground, and an indoor playing area.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers have done Ph.D. from very reputable universities, and they are very knowledgeable and have done a good amount of research work. The difficulty level is between medium and hard, and the passing percentage is 35%.

It's good if you just care for the DTU tag, but not for coding placements.
Placements: For the Mechanical with Automotive Engineering Batch, the placement percentage is not very good, around 60-70%. The highest package is around 18 LPA, and the lowest is around 4 LPA. Top recruiters include Tata and Bajaj, with similar percentages and companies for internships. The top roles offered are in design and development within the automotive sector.
Infrastructure: College facilities and infrastructure are good. As first-year students, we are in SPS classes, but with time, it gets better, the same applies to hostels. The mess food and the library are good, no doubt. The classrooms are okay, though in the AB building, they are very good, and sports are good.
Faculty: Teachers are good too. You need to pay attention in class, though, who knows, they might take a hard exam. Some may be okay, but don't make an enemy out of them. Start studying at least a week before. In the first year, they teach everything, with core subjects starting from the second semester.
Other: It's a top Government College, and while it's not a coding course, it may be good for someone interested in cars. The result could come faster, but everything else is good, and the fests and all are good.

If students want to explore college life, then they can choose DTU.
Placements: 45 % of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered is 11 LPA. Top recruiting company for our course is Cognizant. The top role offered is an automobile engineer. 56% of students got internships at Infosys. Placements and internships totally depend on our CGPA and skills.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good in all departments. Well-function devices air-conditioned are there. The Wi-Fi connection is not that good in the hostel. Good facilities are given to all students. The mess is good and hygienic. Sometimes, mess really gets mass with the crowd and they are punctual with timing.
Faculty: All teachers are so kind and helpful. Their teaching method is so different from school teachers. The course curriculum is also relevant. In fact, teachers always ensure to provide knowledge of relevant things and not just about course but also life lessons. Semester exams are harder than they look. If we are consistent or focused in the study during class and give 3 to 4 hours to our study then they are not that hard, and we can easily maintain good CGPA. Students should just do PYQs and assignments that are given to them by their teachers.
Other: I chose this college over NSUT(mechanical engineering) because DTU has much better college explorers. DTU has better opportunities for placements than NSUT(mechanical engineering). In our course, everything is better and the best already. If they want to do something they have to provide more opportunities for lab materials.

Delhi Technological University is a good choice for engineering.
Placements: Placement in DTU is pretty good; I don't know the exact value of total students placed but it's approximately 75% plus. The highest package in DTU is more than 1 crore, and the average is around 10 - 11 lacs per annum. Internships are pretty good. The average stipend given is 25000. Majorly tech-based companies are recruiting.
Infrastructure: If you join DTU, you are going to love the infrastructure and nature of DTU. All greenery, the best laboratory, fully air-conditioned rooms, and a big sports complex for students are there. Hostels are good; lots of activities are provided, and mess food is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, helpful, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is good, not so vast and easy. Exams are conducted in 2 phases (midterm and end term). Total marks are 100 based on end semester mid semester and internal marks. The exam difficulty level is moderate, totally based on the previous year's questions.

Why I chose DTU MEEV not NSUT EE?
Placements: The placement percentage of MEEV is 60-70% which is far better than CE placement stats. Firstly, I was in CE but I upgraded my branch because it is quite easier to get placement in MEEV because tech companies allowed ME students not CE. Top recruiting companies are generally, Teach giants like Google, etc. And in ME and MEEV 60-70% students got internship in 2nd or 3rd year.
Infrastructure: The facilities in DTU is better than NSUT. The labs as well as classrooms of DTU have ACs and WiFi. Also we have a library that open for 24 hrs includes all type of Engineering books but however Woman's are not allowed to freely move after 11 pm in campus. There is also a healthcentre that open 24 hrs and a sports complex that has all type of gaming courts. For girls we have 2 hostels VLB and BCH. VLB is ACs but BCH not.
Faculty: The teachers here in DTU are very hill and there is no issue of attendance at all. We can easily bunk classes. They teach us industry oriented stuff. It is quite easier to pass MEEV because we got full marks in VIVA and in internals. The pass percentage of MEEV is 80%.
Other: I chose DTU EE, not NSUT MEEV because DTU campus is bigger than NSUT and DTU campus has more facilities than NSUT.

Mechanical Engineering at DTU placements are average.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of students were placed in mechanical engineering; the rest either chose to go for higher studies or GATE or civil services. The top companies coming are Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata, etc. The average package in mechanical engineering is 13 LPA, and the highest stands at 35 LPA.
Infrastructure: Mechanical Engineering at DTU is regarded as one of the best in Asia. With high-class labs and highly qualified faculty members, DTU stands at the top with high-end placements and top-notch education. Hostels for first-year students are normal hostels with double sharing in a room.
Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Almost everyone has a Ph.D. and years of teaching experience. The curriculum is relevant and on par with industry norms. Students passing out are always industry-ready and outshine in every field. Semester exams are not that difficult because students are highly efficient.

Absolutely satisfied, amazing campus life, really good placements, well maintained infrastructure.
Placements: I am pursuing a B.Tech. In mechanical engineering with a specialization in automotive engineering. Here, I'll be providing the placement states for the 2022–23 batch and all of this can be verified through the website of DTU TNP. The branch saw the placement of nearly 60% of students with an average CTC of 11.05 LPA. There were a total of 42 offers and the highest of them stood at 31 LPA. The data for the lowest package is not available but it must have been in the range of 5-7 LPA. The internship opportunities for the branch are fewer, as most of the companies offer internships in the teaching sector. If you have sufficient teaching knowledge, you can apply for them, as huge companies like Google, Amazon, etc. are generally open to all branches. The top companies specific to this branch are Tata, Mahindra, TCS, HCL, Maruti, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities at DTU are top-notch. From amazing air-conditioned classrooms to well-maintained labs, everything is at a very good level. There are different labs for each branch and every branch has a different department building. The lab contains most of the advanced equipment required for the subject. The DTU has a central Wi-Fi connection, which can be accessed through the login credentials provided by the DTU. The Wi-Fi speed is decent for daily use but you can face problems while downloading heavy files. The hostels at DTU are available for both boys and girls. The hostels are not quite good but they are enough to fulfil your daily needs. The mess food is decent, with no complaints. The canteen food is very good and economical, with different options for you to choose from. Sports facilities at DTU are managed at a very high level. There are different grounds for football, cricket and kabaddi; separate basketball and lawn tennis courts; an indoor badminton court; and a table tennis court.
Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable but most of them lack the skill of connecting with students. Most of the students go to the classes just for the sake of attendance and usually study through Youtube. The teaching quality is not good, to say the least. The course curriculum is not entirely made to make you industry-ready, as it is a very old curriculum. You'll be industry-ready by working in the industry itself and learning. The semester exams are not very difficult and most of the students are able to pass them without difficulty. Some exams are set to be tough, while others are quite easy so the level of difficulty is variable.
Other: The most important reason for me to choose the college was the value DTU provides and the campus life it has to offer. The mechanical branch of DTU is very reputed and the career in it is also decent. The things that I would like to improve in my course are the teaching quality of professors and the relevancy of the curriculum. Apart from these things, the college has a lot. Every month, there is an event so the campus remains lively. DTU's annual 3-day cultural festival, Engifest, is one of the largest festivals in the country, with a footfall of 1.5 million people. Stars like Mohit Chauhan, Siddhu Mossewala, Admit Trivedi, Sunidhi Chauhan, Piyush Mishra, and Raftaar have performed at Engifest. The campus surrounding DTU has not much to offer as it is on the outskirts of Rohini. But it is a 5-minute journey to Rohini, where you can have amazing street food, restaurants, etc. DTU has many scholarships for students (like the recent Dell Scholarship Programme) and every year, the newcomers are informed about the same. Extracurricular activities are very popular at DTU. There are different societies and clubs for different fields like dance, music, photography, art, debating, coding, etc.

Satisfied with the placements and ROI.
Placements: In my course, around 70% of students were placed in 2022–2023. The highest package was around 82 LPA given by Red Bull, and the median was 11–12 LPA. The roles offered are mainly in automobile companies. But for internships, you will have to be a top-level student.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay, to be honest. Wi-Fi is very bad, even in libraries. The hostel has all the basic amenities and the mess has good food but the canteen food is not so good and on the okay side. Medical facilities are good and the campus has courts for every sport.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is supreme. Students will get industry-ready jobs. Semester exams are, most of the time, on easier side And almost everyone is able to pass the curriculum from the 1st and 2nd semesters, which is not so important in terms of placements.
Other: I chose my course because I have a keen interest in mechanical engineering. My course would have been better if there had been more hand-to-hand jobs like workshops. Events and festivals are way to good and campus life is very good and not hectic.
