DTU review overall, placements are good, teachers are average, and the infrastructure is good.
Placements: The placement percentage is 70%. The average package is 20.02 LPA, and the highest package is 84.3 LPA. Various big companies, like Microsoft, Google, and Apple, visit the campus. However, if you are from a lower branch, campus placements for SDE roles are difficult. Mostly, lower-branch students get into non-tech roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the hostels are manageable. Labs are good and equipped with all essential tools. The library has a great catalog of books. You will have all facilities required for students. The overall college experience is good, so you can consider the college.
Faculty: Teachers are good. Exams are sometimes difficult to manage as the breaks between exams. But on regular days, you will have an ample amount of free. You can consider the college if you want to pursue something alongside your engineering, as you will have ample free time here.

Strong placements, expert faculty members, modern infrastructure, and vibrant and amazing
Placements: In 2024 around 70-80% of students of tech branches got placed and in 2023 this number was 65-70%. But if we talk about non-tech branches this data was declining due to less number of PSU's and core companies visits. The highest package in 2024 was 82.5 LPA domestic and international package was 1.8 CR. The lowest package is 6 LPA and average package is 20 LPA. Top recruiters are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, TCS, and Apple these are tech giants, and in consulting are Deloitte, McKinsey, KPMG, etc. In civil engineering, top roles offered are structural engineer, design engineer, geotechnical engineer, and many more.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi availability in the library is good. But in hostel, it is quite bad and classrooms are good. Especially new built like Twin Tower which has all the facilites. All the classrooms are fully AC and whiteboards white with projector and sufficient space. Hostels are quite concerning and the mess is also the same.
Faculty: All faculty members are qualified and cooperative. Their knowledge and wisdom help students to crack placements. Some of the professors also try to help students to get internships. Course curriculum is same as other colleges so you expect the same relevancy. Semester exams are hard personally I think math and electrical engineering these subjects require in-depth knowledge of concepts. Exam passing percentage according to new criteria is 33% you have to score 33% in mid-semester, end-semester, and internal individual to get a pass.
Other: Regularity of professors can make courses better like civil engineering where most of the time professors send their Ph.D. students not come with them.

DTU - Strong placements, expert teachers, modern infrastructure, and vibrant events and fests.
Placements: In 2024 around 70-80% of students of tech branches got placed and in 2023 this number was 65-70%. But if we talk about non-teach branches this data was declining due to less number of PSUs and core company visits. The highest package in 2024 was 82.5 LPA, and international package was around 1.8 crores. The average salary is around 20 LPA. Top recruiters are Google, Microsoft, TCS, Adobe, and Amazon.
Infrastructure: Civil department has some excellent facilities like Wi-Fi, water purifier, lift facilities, and AC available in every classroom. College also provides us well-maintained library. Hostels are also well maintained in terms of cleanliness and accessibility. Mess is not that good for students but have decent quality.
Faculty: DTU has some awesome faculty members. Many professors have 30-40 years of experience. Some are Ph.D. scholar but their teaching skills are also fabulous. DTU curriculum is also good, not very good because they do not change their curriculum. Exams level is medium 60-70% of students get passed.

Really good infrastructure with helpful seniors.
Placements: Currently, 50 to 55% of students get placed in a civil department this year which is typical. The highest package for the civil department is 19.5 LPA. The average salary is 9 LPA around. Recruiting companies are L&T, Coal India, NTPC, etc. If you have a greater than 8 CGPA, you easily get internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good as you have seen DTU compete with IITs in terms of infrastructure. Wi-Fi is sometimes not working, classrooms are equipped with centralized AC, and library in DTU is the kind that you love. As I am not a hosteller so I do not know about it. But hostel infrastructure is good and mess food is above average. Sports complex is well-equipped with all the facilities.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified and well-knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, but some teachers are not as expected from DTU. Course curriculum is very good and you can easily be ready for industry. If you study well 2 weeks before exams, you get good marks like 7-8 CGPA easily. Pass percentage is 90 to 95%.

The college is small, full of Delhi students, with lots of fests, hills, & enough time for yourself.
Placements: On average, 45-50% of students are placed in Civil Engineering. The highest package is around 19.20 LPA, and the average package is around 9 LPA. Larsen and Toubro, Tata Projects, and Afcons Projects are the top recruiters of DTU. You can either go to core companies like Larsen and Toubro, or into government jobs, or you can go finance or consulting roles.
Infrastructure: The department building of Civil Engineering is old but designed beautifully. All departments are connected to one another, and the infrastructure of the overall department is good. There are numerous number of books available for students, but the timing is not good, it is only open for 12 hours on normal days and closes during festivals. During exams, the library is open all night. In the 1st year, you get Aryabhatt or Type 2 hostel. It is kind of a residential flat you get in the name of a hostel, which includes a kitchen, also definitely not allowed to cook there.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified and very knowledgeable. The course curriculum is almost the same as every other university or college. The semester contains mid-semester and end-semester exams and includes some assignments which are going to help you during exams.
Other: DTU as a college is really good, academics are not that hectic, and you get enough time for other activities. There are a lot of societies and clubs, and you get clubs like Defianz, AUV, Cosmology, Inferno, UAS DTU, and many more clubs.

If you are from general category then it is very difficult to get admission in dtu with 77 percentile.

Well you have cleared your boards exam with 77% but your JEE Mains marks are very low. Having SC category quota might help you to get a college for civil engineering.

No, there is no benefit without NCC certificate. You need to have a valid JEE Mains score and more than 60% in 12th.

The answer would be, yes. You are eligible to apply. But you wouldn't get admission as the cut-offs of DTU are really high. Unless you are planning to drop for a year, I would suggest you go for some local college.

The only way to get admission in DTU for Diploma holders is the entrance test that is LEET. I am a student of DTU, so as of now, no notice has been released but you can expect the application form out in the month of June and the test date will be in June itself. Result will be declared in July and
