Placements: 85 percent of recruiting companies are from the core sectors, and the rest of them are from the IT sectors and others for the specialisation of mechanical engineering. Nuvia India PVT Ltd, Kirloskar Electric Co. Ltd, Hilti India Pvt. Ltd,3M, and ISGEC are some of the primary core sectors in drives.
Infrastructure: Candidates from various diverse locations desired to do their education in Delhi Technological University in various fields like mechanical, computer Science, thermal, and many. To join here JEE scores are mandatory followed by JAC Delhi counselling. Accommodations are completely under the control of college facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members from various branches are united in order to prepare materials for any of the specializations. The head of the department's permission is required to publish and issue the notes and materials to students. The faculty members are phenomenal in their specializations through their teaching methods.

Mechanical engineering at DTU is really good or bad.
Placements: DTU is a tier one college so placement offers are of a very high package, especially for tech branches like computer Science, information technology, and software engineering. However, for core branches, the placement package decreases the average mechanical is 10 LPA and almost 200 got placed so it is a high number.
Infrastructure: I am a day scholar so I can not tell you in detail, but as far as I know for 1 st year, the Delhi home state hostel will not allot to you. You have to buy PG which costs almost 10 k for close distance and the DTU message is average. You get a daily menu and 1st year hostel is not good at all.
Faculty: Our 1 semester faculty are very good. In mechanical engineering, my subjects are engineering physics, math, basic civil engineering, basic electrical engineering and mechanical workshop. All teachers are well educated and experienced all are top people in their field and very friendly. The level of education is very high and the exam level is also up to the mark.
Other: My rank, I chose mechanical engineering and DTU tech branches are way better than core so try to score well in JEE.

Review DTU - Delhi Technological University for the 2026 batch.
Placements: 80 percent of students get placed. The highest package is 45 LPA, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. The average package is 13 LPA. Texas Instruments company hires students from the college. 45 percent of students get internships. Non-tech, tech, and core companies visit the college to hire students. Many companies that come have a set of criteria for selecting students. CGPA is a very crucial factor, and getting a good CGPA is very important.
Infrastructure: It has the best library with many books to concentrate on studies. Windows are installed for ventilation. The library is filled with students because of the atmosphere it provides. I love the library a lot. Hostels are great too. Warden is nice. There is also a TV room.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. The course curriculum is very beneficial. Semester exams are tough, but can be cracked with one week of preparation. Faculty members are helpful, and they are kind like our parents. Hence, I like the faculty members.
Other: I chose this course because it excites me. DTU fests are the best.

I am well satisfied..It is one of the best and oldest college in Delhi with a very high alumni base.
Placements: Approximately 70 percent of students placed in my course. The highest in 2024 year is 31 LPA and in 2022 year is in crores. Teach companies also allow some students who have high CGPA. Students who are serious in studies also get internship in DRDO. All students have to do hard work, but college life is hill.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not in the first-year hostel. But students can set up Wi-Fi by mutual sharing. Otherwise, from second hostel, Wi-Fi is there. Food quality is awesome. They give non-veg too except Tuesday and Thursday. Medical facility is good. Sports and games are very nice.
Faculty: All teachers and facilities are highly qualified and well educated. They help students at every moment. Teaching quality is good. All teachers have done M. Tech, Ph.D., etc. Curriculum is very relevant and according to NEP 2020. It makes students industry ready.
Other: I chose this course according to my rank. But every branch in this college is good and has its own importance. Mechanical branch is one of the best in DTU and one of the oldest.

DTU is basically a brand.
Placements: Around 80 percent of students get placed. Placement opportunities are good. Top recruiting companies include Amazon, Google, Swiggy, and Zomato. Many students also get internships, with the maximum internship value reaching 1 lakh. There are good internship opportunities for all students.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. There are three boys’ hostels and one girls’ hostel. All sports activities are available, including a gym and cricket nets. Wi-Fi is also available. The college has a big library, and the classrooms are well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced and friendly. There is a good rapport between teachers and students, which makes studying enjoyable. There is not much exam pressure. The course curriculum is very relevant to the subject. The semester exams are not very difficult.
Other: The gender ratio is not very balanced.

The infrastructure is really good.
Placements: I do not know much about placements, but from what I hear, this year’s placements are going down compared to the past few years. My seniors say that DTU’s placements are not as good as in previous years.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. The campus is fun to roam around. The scenery is beautiful, with the soothing sounds of birds and greenery. There are lots of grounds and spaces for playing sports. I live in Transmit Hostel. It is one of the best hostels in DTU. We have our own kitchen, balcony, personal bathroom, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are of both types. Some professors are very helpful, understanding, and lenient. While some professors are very difficult to handle and hard to understand. The curriculum is overall great. The difficulty level of exams is moderate. Mid-semester exams are easy to score, but end-of-semester exams are not that easy.

Worth the money, especially for students of Delhi, incredible fests, chill environment.
Placements: Percentage of students placed in Mech Engineering are 65 percent. The highest package offered is 45 LPA. Average package offered is 9.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Tata Motors, Maruti & Suzuki. Internships with good incentives are offered if your CGPA is 8–8.5+ till the beginning of intern season, i.e., in the beginning of 3rd year. Majorly, the students placed in ME are offered the position of Product Manager or Team Lead in various fields.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are at par with the top engineering institutes of India, with multiple ACs and projector facilities installed. The distinctive feature of ME of DTU is its labs, which include the best machinery and technology worth millions. The campus has a central library, and each department has its own library with continuing resources associated with their courses. The 1st-year hostels are average, but as you move on to senior-year hostels, their level increases exponentially, equipped with lavish rooms and sanitary facilities. The food provided in the mess is decided properly for a fixed period and is overall good.
Faculty: The teachers provide support to the students who are hungry to learn. Doubts will surely be cleared if anyone approaches them. The curriculum is followed keeping NEP in mind, so it is unarguably enough to make students ready for real-life challenges. The attendance criteria is 75 percent, but most of the teachers will relieve you even if you attend half of the classes. The exams are easy to score as long as you devote at least a bit of your time to the subjects.
Other: The best thing about this college is its fest and society culture. In my opinion, society works can teach you more about corporate work than the entire 4 years spent in college. The fests of DTU are widely popular, and students from all over Delhi try to find any loopholes to get entry in them.

Inside of DTU (the 85% quota has disturbed the atmosphere of the college).
Placements: In my course, according to me, last year the placement rate is about 70-80% (if you have a good CGPA, i.e., at least 8+). The average is about 12-13, and the top offer is 33 LPA. Regarding internships, I cannot give you such details. Top companies include Tata, BMW, etc.
Infrastructure: We have smart classrooms and both AC and non-AC hostels with proper ventilation. The classrooms are air-conditioned, and the three-floored library has full Wi-Fi access, although the Wi-Fi might not work properly on the second and third floors. The quality of food given is not so good, but you can't expect it to be that good at 3400 a month for four meals. The sports areas offered by the hostels are not good at all.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and experienced, they are knowledgeable, and if you are into academics, you can learn a lot from them. The course is relevant; in the first year, you might not feel like you are industry-ready, but gradually, they will turn you into that guy. The exams were neither too hard nor too easy, I would say they are moderate. The pass percentage is 35% if absolute or varies if relative.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted a college in Delhi, and at my JEE rank, this is all I get near my home. I would consider the course better if there are people at the same level. People at the same level means if I have scored a percentile of 97.6 in JEE and then I got here, there should be at least others with a 96 percentile in the same course, but you will find people with a 70 percentile too. The fests are good, and the connectivity is fine, not good. Extracurricular activities are at a good stage.
