Jamia Millia Islamia offers a two-year MA programme to the stduents across more than 30 specialisations. It is a two-year programme spread over four semesters, admission to which is based on a candidate’s performance in JMI Entrance Exam. The final merit list for admission to MA at JMI is prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test, seat reservation and relaxation criteria of JMI. The application fee for MA range from INR 550 - INR 700 for different courses and interested candidates can apply online on the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia.

Merit-based scholarships:

1. Jamia Millia Islamia Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students with exceptional academic performance. The scholarship amount varies depending on the programme and the student's academic record.
2. University Grants Commission (UGC) Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is offered by the UGC to students pursuing M.A. programs at recognised universities. The scholarship amount is Rs. 5,000 per month.
3. National Scholarship Scheme for Students from Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (NSFES-BC): This scholarship is provided by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other backward classes. The scholarship amount varies based on the student's caste/tribe and program.

The eligibility criteria for M.A. at Jamia Millia Islamia's AJ Kidwai MCRC is a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
