LPU BDes Eligibility & Highlights 2026
LPU offers a four-year BDes programme spread across eight semesters. The university offers LPU at the UG level in eight specialisations. Apart from regular BDes, LPU also offers lateral entry to the programme. The university provides lateral entry to three BDes specialisations. Candidates can check below the eligibility criteria for the BDes course:
Eligibility: A pass in Class 12 with English with at least 50% aggregate is required to apply for LPU BDes programme. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in the English medium. There is a 5% relaxation for students from North-east states and Sikkim or defence personnel and their dependents or wards of Kashmiri migrants.
Eligibility for BDes Lateral Entry
Candidates need to complete three-year Diploma in Interior/ Architecture/ Civil after completing Class 10 or two or one-year diploma after Class 12 to apply for BDes (LE).

Students can get provisional admission and confirm their seats by paying a nominal fees. The nominal fees is INR 10,000. This applies to all courses and would be adjusted against the programme fees of the semester. MSc Agriculture and MA Hindi/ Punjabi are exempted from this case.
The fee for LPU BDes is INR 9.60 Lacs for four-years. The fee is calculated based on the semester fee. Candidates after completion of the selection round, have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university. The semester fee for BDes is INR 1.20 lakh. LPU offers above 300 degree and Diploma courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels. It also offers distance learning courses through LPU Distance Education (LPUDE). The exam fee for LPUNEST (soft copy of LPUNEST KIT) is INR 1,000 for males and INR 500 for females. The printed LPUNEST Kit is INR 1,500 for boys and INR 1,000 for girls. Check below the steps to apply for LPU admission:
