Both the fields or specializations have good placement in this university. It cannot be clear said that which specialisation had better placement rate. The overall placement rate of the engineering department is very good. Almost 90 percent of students got placed here and 34 LPA was the highest and 6.5 LPA was the average package which was offered to the students. Also all the engineering departments whether electrical, machenical, computer Science etc. had very good placement rates. 

The placements for BTech at Saveetha Institute of medical and technical sciences are decent. According to 2023 engineering placements almost 97 percent of students got placed, and around 1400 placements were offered. According to the previous year's data available on the official website of the university, it shows that the State Government/ UT/ Directorate of Technical Education shall ensure that 10% of reservations for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as per the reservation policy. Additionally, the university also reserved the setas for minorities i.e., SC/ ST/ OBC category. Candidates can complete the TANCET registration process in an online mode. Candidates meed not visit anywhere to submit the form offline or send the hard copy of the filled in form. Therefore, the registration fee payment is also done online. After filling all the details and uploading the documents, candidates need to click the 'Submit' button and pay the fees online. For online payment of TANCET application fee, candidates need the following details: - Name on Card - Card Number - Expiry date - CVV Number Additionally, candidates will need the OTP received on the bank registered mobile number for payment verification.

Admissions to Saveetha Medical College can be obtained only if students qualify for entrance exams of the respective courses. For medical courses like MBBS, it's not possible to get admission without appearing for the NEET exam. Without qualification for entrance exams, one would not be eligible for admission. Entrance exams might not be required for non-medical courses like B. Sc or BA. Technical courses like engineering usually require entrance exams like JEE Mains.
