VIT Chennai BTech Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Admission Process, Entrance Exam

The VIT Chennai BTech admission process involves various steps. It starts with applying for the entrance exam. Other steps include appearing for the entrance exam, online counselling, fee submission, etc. All the steps included in the process of VIT Chennai admission to its BTech programme can be grouped under the following three categories:

Step 1: Application Process

The first step is to register and apply for the accepted entrance exam, i.e. VITEEE 2025. Candidates can register their candidature by visiting the official exam website at viteee.vit.ac.in. New users are required to complete the registration process before applying. Candidates can then sign in using the credentials generated during the registration process and proceed to fill out the application form. This step also includes uploading the required documents, submitting the application fee and booking a test slot.

Step 2: Selection Process

BTech admission at VIT Chennai is entrance-based. Seats are allocated to eligible applicants through online counselling. Candidates are shortlisted for counselling based on their VITEEE ranks. Candidates who have secured ranks up to 1 lakh are eligible for VIT Chennai BTech counselling.

However, candidates seeking admission to BTech (Fashion Technology) are shortlisted based on their performance in Class 12/equivalent exam and personal interviews. While registering for the counselling, candidates must select VIT Chennai as their preferred campus.

Step 3: Admission Confirmation

Provisional admission is offered to selected candidates after the counselling process. Such candidates must report to the allotted campus for document verification. On successful verification of the required documents, candidates must submit the applicable VIT Chennai fees to confirm their admission.
