VIT Vellore Admission 2026 (Open): Fees, Eligibility, Dates & Selection Process

The institute shortlists candidates for MBA course based on national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, NMAT or ATMA. The shortlisted aspirants are further required to come for the PI round. Vellore Institute of Technology will also consider the academic performance and work experience of the candidates for final selection. Candidates who have passed regular, full-time UG/ Integrated degree from a recognised institute/ university of at least three years of duration with a minimum of 60% aggregate (50% for SC/ ST candidates and applicants belonging to Jammu & Kashmir and North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura) can apply for the MBA course. Yes, MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. Vellore Institute of Technology offers MBA in six specialisations, namely Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, Human Resource Management, General Management and Production and Operation Management. MBA course is designed with a Curriculum for Applied Learning (CAL) and executes in a trimester pattern with a Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS). Students can avail of credit transfer options to foreign universities and foreign internships as per their choice. Also, the course is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). 

VIT Vellore MBA tuition fees, including the first and second year, are INR 7 lakh. Students who are selected in the MBA admission process have to pay the course fees. The admission of the student will stand cancelled if he / she is unable to pay the fee within the specified time. Also, students have to pay the registration fees. VIT MBA registration fee is INR 1,200. Candidates can pay the registration fee via any of the online payment modes. The VIT Vellore M.Tech admission process is completely entrance-based. Candidates are offered admission based on VITMEE exam, which is conducted at the university-level by VIT. Students need to qualify the exam to proceed to further selection rounds. The shortlisted candidates are offered final admission based on their performance in PI round.

The institute offers a full-time M.Tech in 22 specialisations of Engineering. A few of the top specialisations include Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI Design, CAD/ CAM, Biotechnology, Automotive Electronics, and Manufacturing Engineering, among others. Candidates must hold BE/ BTech degree in relevant discipline to apply for the M.Tech course. Candidates must pass BE/ BTech degree in relevant subjects to apply for the M.Tech course. Admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE/ VITMEE score followed by a counselling round. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

VIT Vellore MTech per annum fee is around INR 1.53 Lakhs to 1.93 lakhs (Category 1) and INR 2.33 lakhs to 3.02 Lakhs. The mentioned fee structure includes caution fees. Students must pay the MTech course fee after their selection; otherwise, the admission will get cancelled. Also, students have to pay INR 1200 as a registration fee while applying for VIT Vellore M.Tech admission. The registration payment is accepted online through net banking / credit card / debit card.
