Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) offers full-time BTech and BE courses in multiple specialisations. The UG-level programmes are offered via the university's affiliated colleges and constituent centres. Yes, VTU accepts Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) scores for admission to its Bachelor of technology programme (BE/BTech). In addition to Joint Entrance Examination Main, the college also accepts scores of other entrance exams such as COMEDK UGET, Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (KPGCET), etc. Candidates must also have valid eligibility criteria, i.e., a pass in Class 12 with 45% aggregate in PCM for GM students and above 40% aggregate for SC/ ST students.
Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) admissions 2024 are entrance based. Candidates who wish to take admission to VTU BTech proramme must appear for the entrance examination. The College does not offer direct admission to candidates in any of the programmes. Candidates who wish to take admission to the BTech programme must appear for either KCET or COMEDK and qualify the eligiblity criteria.
Visvesvaraya Technological University accepts multiple entrance exams fro BTech. KCET/ COMEDK UGET/ JEE Main are few of the entrance exams for BTech admission. Candidates are required to apply/regiater for the exam by visiting their official website. However, there are a minimum eligibility criteria for the BTech, which candidates must qualify for admission.
Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 or equivalent qualification with English as one of the language with minimum 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST and OBC category candidates) in Physics and Mathematics along with one optional subject

The expected last date to register for Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) UGET Examination will be during the month of April . ( Tentative).
The registration process will be accepted through online mode only. Candidates can visit the official website to know more about the examination in detail.
Karnataka Examination Authority will commence the KCET application form facility after the conclusion of the exam at the official website. Applicants can make changes in the KCET application form in online mode. Candidates are allowed to make changes in certain fields only. Applicants are advised to cross-check all the details before submitting information. KEA do not entertain any request for change in KCET application form after the conclusion of correction facility.
Karnataka Examination Authority conducts KCET 2025 exam every year for the admissions to engineering and pharmacy courses offered by participating institutes. Applicants appearing in the exam are advise to follow all the exam day guidelines and instructions as given by the invigilator.
